In general, no; it is very unlikely that you will damage your body by holding it in, although it is generally healthier to urinate when you have to and not wait.
There is, however, a famous case of Sir Francis Bacon, who did not leave a banquet to go to the restroom because it was considered rude. He died when his bladder ruptured because he had held it too long.
Normally, people will lose control of their bladders and pee their pants before their bladder ruptures. You don't want this to happen either, so try not to hold it TOO long. Try and urinate at least once or twice a day.

I don't think it can really damage you because eventually it gets so urgent that you will not hold it before it reaches the damaging stage.
A bigger problem is what happens if while holding it you wander away from an area with convenient toilet access or even worse a friend slaps you on the back unexpectedly or someone tells a really bladder-emptying joke. Now that is going to be so embarrassing and for years everyone will always recall you as the person responsible for that giant puddle.

Yes, "holding it" for too long can cause irritation and/or Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), or in more extreme cases, a Bladder Infection.
Neither is any fun, and can be very painful. But the Bladder Infection is harder to get rid of. You'd need to take antibiotics for both.

it could improve your probability of having a uti. in case you regularly enable your bladder stretch too far then it only isn't waiting to empty thoroughly which will reason micro organism to construct up. suited to circulate before because of the fact a uti is not any exciting.
