i am 40 years old, and i draw disability for being bi-polar. i hate being on it and i am currently in school to hopefully find a job and get off of social security. after three failed suicide attempts and years of off and on counseling i have decided that i no longer need the shame of being disabled this way. my question is has anyone ever heard of a disabled bi-polar returning to work after years of drawing disability?

I had a baby 5 months ago, i have 10 more pounds to take off, i workout 6 day a week, i walk for an hour and do pilates , i eat heathy but the weight is not caming off i am stuck what should i do? I have a really bad itchiness in one spot in my areola in only one of my breasts. I am going to my family doctor today, even though he is very nice,he is a guy and honestly I don't feel comfortable enough to be naked in front of him. What do I do? should I go ahead and show him or should I ask him to refer me to an especialist and what kind?, a gyn or a dermatologist?. Thanks.

My father is 80 years old. He has diabetes, and kidney problems (his kidney function is only around 25%). About a year and a half ago, he had an angiogram done, which indicated 2 blockages (one in the front and one in the back of the heart). At the time, an angioplasty wasn't possible, and the recommendation was to use medication, and if the condition gets worse by-pass surgery should be considered.

He's now experiencing more shortness of breath in walking, and his left arm feels a little numb. The cardiologist suggests an angiogram be done now, with the warning that the kidney function may worsen, and he might even require dialysis for life. His nephrologist said that there are procedures that can protect the kidney for the angiogram, and recommended he go ahead with the angiogram.

Any comments on what he should consider would be very much appreciated.

can someone tell me what this is. i was told a few years ago when i went to pittsburgh to participate in a drug study (legal drugs oversought by the clinic, drug manufacturer and the fda). this study's physical required an ekg (electrocardiogram), they ma who was performing the procedure couldnt get the pads to stick on my body at first but eventually got them on. after the test was done she didnt know what the results were and had to see the clinics doctor about it. when she came back she told me that the doctor said i had the above condition. i was dismissed from the study and told if i wanted to do another one it would have to be one without an ekg.

i am not taking drugs for this condition, even though i should be. heart conditions are hereditary in my family.

what could cause this?

i know that not everybodys heart rates and conductions are the same.

I had terrible tooth pain on Saturday, and two days before I had some minor kind of "throbbing" pain, but very minor. Well, Saturday it was no longer minor and it hurt so bad I couldn't close my teeth together. I went in to the dentist office Saturday on an emergency call. He xrayed and said I need a root canal. So I said ok and he started it. He drilled the hole in the tooth (top, front/center tooth) and puss etc started draining out. Apparently it was infected a bit cause the nerve was dying. Well he let it drain and filed it out for almost an hour. Then he said he couldn't put a filling in yet because it was infected and draining, so he flooded it with bleach (Sodium Hypochloride) to kill bacteria, rinsed it and packed it with cotton and sent me home with antibiotics and vicodin. I'm not taking the vicodin the pain isn't that bad. Tomorrow I go in to be checked and have the cotton removed, and a temp filling put in. A week later he'll check it and put in the permanent filling.

I have not had my period since December 7th of 06. I have taken 4 pregnancy tests up to day 70 of my missed period and all have come up negative. I have gained 7 lbs in the past 2 months and my belly seems to be somewhat larger in the middle. I have had no morning sickness or swelling of the breasts but I have had headache, backpain, and sometimes it feels like the inside of my stomach is radiating heat. I am 25 and married so having a baby doesn't scare me it is not knowing what is up. Please don't give me advice to go to a doctor I already know that. I havn't had success getting an appointment any time soon. Please help

hello. this may sound random, but I stopped taking the pill in december due to health related issues. Now we use a condom every time we have sex and he pulls out before its time to go. Ever since I have gotten a regular period....maybe week or so off each month. this month i was due for my period on saturday....cramps, bloating, the whole nine yards. Had sex on sunday morning, starting bleeding..thought it was the start of my period. As the day when on less and less blood came out...and now today there is none at all. Was that my period or somethign else? Should I be worried about preg? or some other problem? Any help would be appreciated.

I am 12, and alot of the girls my age are begining to develop a figure. I am not, I still have my baby fat! I'm not terrible fat, but my thieghs and stomach are pudgier then other girls my age. I am wondering if it will go away on its own, like baby fat should, or if I have to work at it.
