I am 12, and alot of the girls my age are begining to develop a figure. I am not, I still have my baby fat! I'm not terrible fat, but my thieghs and stomach are pudgier then other girls my age. I am wondering if it will go away on its own, like baby fat should, or if I have to work at it.

# 1 DON'T WORRY about it!!! seriously .. It WILL go on its own .. we all develop at our own rate. The # 1 thing that could (if you let it) work against you is "worrying"! .. seriously .. If you look at teens / women who do have weight problems - they are the ones who worry and / or obsess about it.
Guaranteed you will develop and you will lose your baby fat! The other thing you oughta make note of is that a lot of girls are actually developing waaaaaay earlier than is the norm. So .. you may actually be healthier than many of your peers! Oh yes .. I keep thinking of points! lol .. but just one more.. I am slim and occasionally am confronted by women with a few extra pounds, some even "hate" me! Most of "us" .. (women) are concerned about our bodies because we want to be attractive to the opposite sex .. some of us are more concerned about our health .. however .. we are human and it is normal to want the opposite sex to "like" the way we look. That being said - take a look at the women / girls who have a hubby / b/f and take a look at those who don't .. More slim women are single than those with a few xtra pounds! .. Sorta suggests that "most" guys prefer a little 'meat' .. and maybe thats becuz they prefer a healthy "woman" .. or girl .. whatever. So .. Please!! DON'T WORRY !!! and if you read a lot of fashion magazines - Please STOP!!! Watch that show America's Next Top Model and see what those girls look like BEFORE they are made up or airbrushed!!! Magazines are fake!
Love yourself - I'm sure you're perfect just as you are!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)
