will this help with weight loss if your body isn't using insulin properly? I have heard this but I'd like to know if anyone else has, or even better if anyone else has taken it for that reason.

I am 5'6 and weigh 195 lbs. I would like to lose at least 20 more lbs before we go to Walt Disney World. I have been on a diet for 2 weeks lost 8 lbs. I've been taking in 1200 calories in a day. The problem is that I am not able to exercise. (This is how I gained all of the weight the past 2 years, I was going to the gym when I started with these symptoms.) ( The doctors said no more gym)
I have back problems. I have nerve pain in both my legs. I have a herniated disk and 3 degenerated disks. I am currently going to physical therapy 3 times a week. Help! Thank you!

you could say im lucky but i have never suffered from period pains or breast pain in my life i could never tell when my period was coming which often led me to leak when i was in public, however this month i had the most painful pains ever i couldnt even stand up......... have i got something wrong with me???

i've been feeling scared and terrified for 2 days straight night and day. i couldnt even sleep last night. i slept only and hour and i can't fall asleep now. i'm only 15 years old whats happening?
i feel so scared which is causing me to feel sick. my hearts pumping fast 24/7.
It's harmful to have panic right? i've been having it for 3 days straight and i cant calm down at all. i cant sleep etc.
im going to the doctor today later on, but i want to sleep Now because im so tired but i cant because im so panicy and i feel sick from panic.
what should i do to calm me down? i feel like im going to pop! ugh :'(

I have an extreme case of hormone imbalance, I have hair on my face back,and breast. I used to be very attractive, I was voted most attractive in high skool,Now,I gained 60-75 pounds in 3 years,& I'm very hairy. i don't take the time to invest in my looks because I feel what does it matter, I have a beard I can only wear t-shirts 2 my neck (chest hair) I no longer care about what I dress like. When we get in public, for an example we were in a crowded elevator, and my aunt said, 'Oh lord, u look so nasty today. Fix ur hair!" and my younger sister said 'Fat and Nasty" The ppl in the elevator just giggle, I said nothing. I practice daily grooming habits, I bath twice a day, but I don't see the need in dressing nice (t-shirts and sweats) or doing my hair (ponytails)
If u would have seen me when i was 13-17 I was gorgeous. I've gained so much weight and I have polycystic ovaries, so Ive got tons of hair everywhere and I've lost my hourglass figure. How can I make myself love myself again?

I have no bruising or recent injury. But it feels as though my leg is actually wet. I can just feel this on the inside, there is nothing on the exterior. Could this be DVT or what?

Can someone tell me why I feel strange after I drink coffee? Does it have something to do with blood pressure or blood sugar? I'm a healthy 22 year old. I can't describe the feeling well, but I feel like I'm about to get a head rush soon after I drink coffee (like when you stand up and things go temporarily black and you can't see) and this feeling can last for hours. Please don't tell me not to drink coffee anymore- that's not my question.

I'm on diuretics. The less I eat, the more I gain. No doctors have been able to help me. I take thyroid medication also. I had to buy a new wardrobe because of this. It's been seven months since my surgery/weight gain.

My friend is experiencing stroke like symptoms,slurred speach, impaired motor skills, dizziness, headache, and clicking sounds. She has been on effexor for several years. there was some confusion at the pharmacy re. her refills. she went 5 days without the medication. Sunday am she began experiencing the above symptoms. By pm she was having problems walking and speach was so slured she was almost unable to communicate. The physicians put her back on effexor monday and today tuseday she can walk better and her speach is a little better. She has had a MRI and a CAT scan they have ruled out stroke. Do you think the physicians are on the correct path? Do you have any suggetions?Have you heard of this in the past? What is the prognosis?

Whatever exercise I do my body won't get toned. My chest, abdomen, my belly button is 2-3 inches down from where it should be. It's all flab! Used to weigh 245lbs. my heaviest! It's still a constant challenge to watch what I eat. But I have the drive to be active. I weigh now 183lbs. I have all this flab, loose muscle. Is tummy tuck the answer to my problem?

Okay so I already had anothe post but it didnt really explain itself before, I am going to have my four wisdom teeth cut out tomorrow and they are going to have to put me under because they are laying sideways below the gum, so anyway they are saying they are going to give me Lortab 7.5 but I have a high tolerance for pain meds and a low tolerance for pain, I know it sounds weird but I was hoping to get Percocet (oxycodone & tylenol) what do you think the chances are that they will give me that? Also they are giving me penecillin, phenergan, a steriod and pain meds so I think it's going to hurt like he** does it? Which pain med do you think would work the best?

One of my specialist Doctors says "no" (gynae) the other says "yes" (haematologist). I asked them to consult with each other but it ended up in a screaming match between the two of them. My levels are way above lab normals for a man and info on the web suggests it is not a good situation.

Mom is 82 first hosptial visit dec. Direaha, vomiting, not eating. Heartattack in hospital, stent put in release Jan 9. Put back in hospital Feb 13 for same reason not eating weak. Stomach problems. Released to Rehab. Back in hospital Feb 17 infection internal organs. Treated with antibotics mega doses. Now bladder isn't working right. Cathyter is in, stomach pumped daily. For some reason bladder isn't opening or something like that. Now bowels aren't working properly. Three transfusions one platlett.My questions is this. What happens when your Bladder doesn't work does it repair itself. Will she have to wear a bag the rest of her life? And will she be able to eat ever again. Im worried. On the first visit the cathyter was inserted twice giving her infection at that time is that the same. Is the hosptial responsible for this. They came to the house and never took a urane sample back to see if she had infection originally. Just need some plain answers Please Help.
