I took two Tums a few minutes ago...is it ok to have a little pepto too?

Ya I guess I realized they do work ABOUT the same...but I guess I took a mistake by taking Tums...cause I think Pepto would've worked better...oh well I'll take it in a little bit when it says the Tums will wear off...my stomach's just a little funny this morning :).

Yeah Pepto Bismol doesn't react with anything such as a gas or acid medication unless you drink like ten bottles of the stuff.
They realized that people would probably take both an ant acid and Pepto Bismol together so they did their best to make sure it wouldn't cause any problems. Bottom line is this...you will be fine and I hope whatever ales ya get better.

Why would you want to take Pepto after Tums? They essentially do the same thing. Stick to one or the other. Personally I prefer Pepto. It works quickly and has no bad side effects.

Actually, they're both antacids, and work about the same. I don't see any danger in taking both at the same time, but you would probably accomplish the same result by taking a slightly higher dose of either one or the other. I've never heard of anyone overdosing on antacids, but moderation is generally recommended in the ingestion of any substance designed for medicinal purposes.
