I had it done in 2000, just had a eye exam and still see 20/20. Eye doctor says he can barely see the scare and I was cut with the blade, now they use a laser.
Any surgery has some related risk, but the eye surgery is well worth it.

Yes it is. I had it. Bladeless lasiks is the best. Visit a TLC laser eye center in your part of the US. Tiger woods went there and so did I. I had custom bladeless lasiks. It takes only about 10 minutes for the actual surgery and I could see 20/20 afterwards. I now see 20/15 (they over correct eyes because eyes regress as they heal that is why some people see better than 20/20 after surgery). I used to be 20/400 (means something a person with 20/20 vision could see at 400 feet away I could see at 20 feet away!). the eye charts only go up to 20/200 (the large E on the top is 20/200 and from 20 feet away I couldnt see that without glasses). It is safe if you go to qualified doctors. Find a place that does BLADELESS lasiks but not many places do it. So if the place does bladeless they the doctor there are most likely highly qualified and up to date on the latest surgeries.

I had Lasik three years ago, and I still think it was the best money I've ever spent.
I got glasses at age 8, and wore them continuously (except for bed) for 40 years. My uncorrected vision was in the 20/200 range, with moderate astigmatism. The surgery took about 15 to 20 minutes (you're conscious the whole time), and when it was over, I sat up and laughed out loud. I wasn't wearing my glasses, and I could SEE the wastebasket across the room!
The first month or two, my vision was a little erratic, varying between perfect and wavy (the docs say that's normal). Nowadays I'm at about 20/15, but your mileage may vary.

LASIK is both safe and successful. A lot of people get LASIK eye surgery as it corrects their vision and improves their lives tremendously. The LASIK procedure corrects myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism so that you won't need to wear contact lenses or eyeglasses again.
But since LASIK is an expensive procedure in the US, many people these days opt to travel overseas for their treatment. You can get your eye surgery/treatment done in India/Singapore/Thailand and even Mexico for much less than in the US. You end up saving 60-80% even after your travel expenses and hospital stay have been paid for.
However, you need to be careful about the quality of hospitals there. You must make sure that they are JCI/JCAHO/ISO accredited, which means that the hospitals meet US standards and the service provided is world-class.
One such medical tourism facilitator that works only with quality hospitals abroad is Healthbase (http://www.healthbase.com). You can research about the various medical procedures, communicate with the surgeons overseas, apply for medical loans, plan and book your travel all at their website.

Your risk of failure/complications probably depends a great deal on your eyes and the problems that you already have. Overall the risk is very low, but as with anything, there is still risk. Contact some of your local reputable Laser Eye Surgery doctors, some of them will give you a free consultation, examine your eyes and tell you if you are a good candidate or not.

My daughter had lazer eye surgery 4 years ago and she says it is the best thing she has ever had done. You need to do your homework, there are so many places that just want your money (loads of bad press). At the first free consultation with the surgeon he refused to carry out the eye surgery due to her having dry eyes. He asked her to come back in a month after using eye drops (false tears) three times a day. She went back after using the eye drops religiously for a month. He took another computer enhanced look at her eyes. They had improved 100% and he was then happy to carry out the surgery. She now has perfect 20/20 vision.

In 2002 while i was on leave from Afghan., my ex-wife participated in Laser Eye Surgery in Phoenix Arizona. I watched over 20 surgery's before hers, and every patient walked out very groggy but very pleased. My ex-wife was last and well she "glass-nerves" so to speak, long story short she moved her left eye enough to cause damage.....but to my very surprise the injury was not as serious as the doctor(s) keep the surgery very safe indeed. She recovered within a week and after a few more could see very well.
I would defiantly recommend it; the surgery not the divorce....

There are many referring web pages about the procedure, please feel free to investigate.

You can improve your eyesight by simply learning, naturally and practicing the correct way to see for a few small minutes a day.
You can check this method based on a scientific researches :
http://improvevision.toptips.org
if glasses are worn continuously over time the poor vision will generally become worse. Essentially what glasses do is lock the eyes into their refractive state and in order to see through your lenses you have to maintain the poor vision that the lenses are designed to correct.
"Restore my vision” program you'll be taken by the hand, it shows you how to improve your vision naturally, permanent and complete solution.
Even the American Optometric Association has been forced to admit these things!
I'm sure that you will not regret your decision

Most people believe that once they are diagnosed with some vision problem and start wearing eye glasses or contact lenses to correct them, they will have to do so for life in order to see better. Those who want a permanent solution to improve eyesight typically resort to Lasik or other corrective eye surgeries. But you you can also improve your vision without surgery and can see perfectly well without using eyeglasses or contact lenses. You can check here to know how https://tr.im/33c02
