Whatever exercise I do my body won't get toned. My chest, abdomen, my belly button is 2-3 inches down from where it should be. It's all flab! Used to weigh 245lbs. my heaviest! It's still a constant challenge to watch what I eat. But I have the drive to be active. I weigh now 183lbs. I have all this flab, loose muscle. Is tummy tuck the answer to my problem?

one problem with being over weight at one time is you never get rid of the fat cells and they are so easy to fill right back up. Your problem is likely not toning but getting your toned muscles to show. more cardio exercise will break away the fat. eating more protein will help get you toned and build muscle while limit ting salt, sat fats, sugar, starches and completely eliminating trans fats, high fructose corn syrup, and MSG's will help with weight loss. Eat a lot of grapefruits fresh organic and drink Oolong tea, green tea will work too, but not as good.
By the way, there shouldn't be any loose muscle unless you popped a tendon which hurts a lot. Your looseness is fat and stretch skin. to help with stretched skin use skin firming lotions with aloe and echinacea.
are you a healthy weight now? if so, you may need a tummy tuck to fix this condition. If not, keep going and get to where you should be, otherwise it will be a wasted procedure and may turn out to be unnecessary all together. Healthy weight is determined by sex, build and height.

Tummy tuck is an option people consider when their skin is really saggy. However, do note that since it's for purely cosmetic reasons, your insurance will not cover the costs.

An alternative available to you is to go overseas for your treatment. A lot of people choose to go abroad these days since it's much cheaper there for good quality breast lift and tummy tuck surgeries. Countries like India/Singapore/Thailand or even Mexico offer this treatment for about 80% less than the prevailing rates in the US. Some South American countries like Costa Rica, Brazil, Panama and Argentina are also excellent places to get cosmetic/plastic surgery for cheap. Even after you've paid for your travel and any other expenses you end up saving lots.

However, you need to be careful about the quality of hospitals there. You must make sure that they are JCI/JCAHO accredited. One such medical tourism facilitator that works only with quality hospitals abroad is Healthbase (http://www.healthbase.com). You can research about the various medical procedures - cosmetic as well as plastic, get a free quote, communicate with the surgeons overseas, plan and book your travel all at their website. You can even apply for a medical loan through their website.

Yes, I think that going to a doc who gets rid of extra skin is the answer. My ex got down to a healthy weight and said that he just needed to lose that. I walked away feeling sorry for him, cause I was thinking, to lose that much weight, it would probably be there permanently unless it was taken off.

When producing cookies, bake half the batch and scoop others into ice-cube trays. When your current sweet tooth kicks in, pop out one and bake it to satisfy your craving without breaking the particular calorie bank.

Salt causes bloating and butter is an excellent source of calories, so flavor pasta, a pot of soup, meat, and stews with new herbs, garlic, and onions as a substitute.
