First off, NO you won't die from the panic attack. I had them very severly when I was your age. I'm now 21 and haven't had one for years.
My therapist gave me calming exercises, like relaxing, closing your eyes and visioning walking along a beach - or something of the sort. This helped a lot, but I foudn what helped me the most was researching panic attacks. She gave me a book about them and reading that I wasn't alone in the world and that other people had them was all the help I needed.
Rest assured, you will soon get better. I promise!! Just calm yourself down, take deep breaths and try to focus your attention elsewhere.

You're not alone sweetie, i myself have suffered from these terrifying epsodes but it is impossible to die from them, yes at that moment what is really happening to you is for some reason body actually goes into the same mode as it would as if you were actually faced with a near death situation this is why you feel like you are dying but you really are not. my first panic attack i really thought Iwas having a heart atack, but the best thing to do is distract yor attenion, turn on the TV or the radio, believe it or not this simple distraction may bring you some relief in the heat of the moment, and yes go see a doctor! Preferably a psychiatrist. This could be a chemical imbalence. Till then hang in there :)

YOU CANNOT DIE FROM HAVING A PANIC ATTACK. In fact, I've done the research because I used to think that too. Panic attacks have the same affect on your body as an aerobic workout does minus the muscle toning. You will be fine hun. Why don't you take a warm bath and read a good book to get your mind off it? The reason you are constantly panicky is because you are scared of having another attack. You have to fight it. It will get better-its like you have to retrain your brain..making a constant effort to NOT think about things that scare you. Push them out of your mind and replace them with other things that make you happy.

Calm down and listen to this: You are not going to die! I know it feels that way, but no one in the history of medicine has ever died from a panic attack. What you need to do is get to a doctor, who might refer you for psychiatric work up. That doesn't mean you're crazy. It simply means that something has happened to your nervous system that's causing these panicky feelings, and it can be treated with the proper medication. You'll get something to calm your nerves and help you sleep. You will start feeling better soon. I can guarantee it. Good luck!

I had my ex take me to the emergency room one time cause I was having a panic attack and my heart was racing. They were pretty nonchalant about the whole thing and checked it out with an EKG. All was good. Try getting lots of exercise and little to no caffeine. See your school counselor to try to get your mind on an even keel. And do your best just to relax and realize that all will be good. Good luck with it. (And try this), when you are resting, put your hand up to your mouth, partially covering your nose, to stop hyperventilation. Do the yoga breathing, deep breath through your nose, breath out through your mouth.

YOU CANT DIE FROM A PANIC ATTACK. TO THE PEOPLE WHO SAID THAT ABOVE ARE ***** RETARTED. ASK ANY DOCTOR, YOU CANNOT DIE!! I HAD OVER 1000 PANIC ATTACKS AND IM 100% HEALTHY. GO ON MEDICATION IT HELPS, BUT EITHER WAY YOU WONT DIE. YOU CAN HAVE 400 A DAY AND ULL STILL BE AS HEALTHY AS SOMEONE WHO HASNT HAD 1. DONT WORRY YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR DYING BUT YOUR NOT. ITS ALL IN THE MIND. BUT GO TO A DOCTOR AND TELL HIM SO HE CAN GIVE YOU SOMETHING BECAUSE YOU DO NOT NEED TO LIVE LIKE THAT.

I TOTALLY agree with Ma. My husband had them terribly bad, and I had the only at certain times. Never knew why we were to afraid, but we accepted Jesus into our lives, started going to a good non-denominational church and we're learning how to get rid of them. I get them RARELY anymore, tho caffeine does trigger them. My husband used to not be able to move when he had them, now virtually gone, he reads the bible a lot and is learning the Truth. Jesus can SET YOU FREE! I feel for you, it is so terrible to have them! I'll pray for you and here is an EXCELLENT website to go to that will help you learn about anxiety and God's peace.

drink lots of cold water, no coffee or sugar. watch comedy or cartoon, anything that makes you happy and take slow, deep breaths. listen to soothing music, do anything that's not stressful and ask your mom or dad to hold you.
when i was like 6, my dad scared me (he yelled at me or something, can't remember anymore) and i was having hallucinations and keep saying i am scared over and over again. my mom hold me, kept telling me everything was ok and my dad wasn't scary and gave me cold water to drink. I calmed down after a few hours.
good luck

Yes. Your panic might inadvertently cause you to jump off a building.
Solution: do yoga and meditate.
