I have apperently got a "fatty cyst" on my heel (it hurts quite alot) its on the right hand side and its on the left foot. I went to my GP and they told me that I shud have it X-RAYED I did and it came back clear with nothing stuck to the bone, or anything like that. They made an oppointment for me to see the orthopaedic surgeon. If they feel that I need to have an operation then what are the risks ?? will I need crutches ?? I am only 12 so will I need a general anesthetic ?? will there be a scar ?? How long will it take ?? Please Please, Please, can you asnswer all of my questions Im very curious. Oh and PLEASE don't say "why dont you ask the orthopaedic all the questions" because I dont really like asking questions to doctors I really dont like doing that. Please answer them :) thankyou

I've heard that Herschel Walker never touched a weight in his life and was still one of the best college football players ever. And people in the military don't use weights either, they only do bodyweight exercises and they're quite strong. And yet people say that doing push-ups doesn't build any real strength.

Is that true? Can you build alot of strength and mass by doing pushups?

it started when i got this cold. but thats gone now. its a strange aching pain like where my spine joins my pelvis. ive not done any manual lifting to spark it off, and i cant really tell if its a muscular pain. it hurts when i bend forward to reach or pick things up. man it gives me gip putting my shoes on. my mam thinks its something to do with my kidneys perhaps, but i dont understand. if it continues im off to the GP. but id apppreciate any ideas from you helpful people.

My grandmother is in her 80's and is a very independent person - one of the reason's I like her so much. She's always been very healthy and taken long walks. However, she's got a longstanding problem with her knee that's recently gotten worse, to the point where she's limiting her walks greatly because sometimes the knee goes out and she's got to grip on to something. She has a walking stick that's helpful when she carries it. I'd like to help somehow, but I know she's not likely to go to the doctor. I asked her once and she told me that doctors don't like old people (I personally know she is the one who doesn't like doctors). Does anyone know of products for older people that look good and actually help? Would a visit to a physical therapist be helpful? There's no way she's having knee surgery at this age. Why do all products for older people look so sterile. Please help - I really hate to see my grandmother dealing with this.

I've been bulimic for a few years and want to snap out of it. I feel like I am getting better, and know that I can't get over it overnight, but i'm tired of being this way, It's a habit now and doesn't consume me like it used to but i just can't seem to stop even though it's upsetting people who love me. Any advice?

I asked a qustion here a few days ago and I think a few people need info more than I did! My friends partner got crabs and said it must've been from staying at a friends house in the spare room. I questioned the likelihood of this.
Anyway loads of people said you can catch them from toilet seats. You can't its a popular MISCONCEPTION, they cant physically crawl on smooth surfaces and wouldnt leave the warmth and food from a body for a cold toilet seat.
They CAN live for 24 hours in bedding etc without food and heat, you'd have to be naked in another persons unwashed bedding (where they were naked) less than 24 hours after them (see how unlikely this is getting)
ANYWAY he just admitted to sleeping with another girl for the last 3 months!!!!
HA! toilet seats indeed.
