I've been bulimic for a few years and want to snap out of it. I feel like I am getting better, and know that I can't get over it overnight, but i'm tired of being this way, It's a habit now and doesn't consume me like it used to but i just can't seem to stop even though it's upsetting people who love me. Any advice?

Just do your best everyday. I was anorexic for many years and I was always forced to eat. Now I compulsivly overeat and binge. ED are very sad for us, its not something you can just get over. I've had it for 9 years now, and Im only 23. Its a daily struggle. Therapy can help you more than anything else, I wish you luck.

I have hidden my buli for 9 years. The only time I stopped was when I was pregnant. I gained 50 lbs. It was awful. So after I had my baby I reverted right back to being this way. Now I am back to my original weight but I really hate it bc i really want to live and be here for my son. I dont care how I look anymore like I used to bc all i care abot is him. It is so habitual. and the thoughts you have after eating, the guilt, the obsesive thoughts of getting fat, being fat, it just plain sucks. If you are willing to get help, DO IT! Its hard to lie and keep a secret. But do be aware of how people will percieve you after yo utell them. You wil be "sick" and "mental". They will watch every bite of food. Monitor your bathrm trips. Its a nightmare-but at least you will have a future-the rest of us will just die, skinny and sad.

IF YOU'RE WILLING TO GET OUT OF IT & HAVE ALREADY MADE SOME PROGRESS, YOU'LL GET THERE SOON GIRL! I KINDA HAVE A DISORDER TOO I FEEL GUILTY WHEN I EAT THAT I'LL GET A TUMMY! EXCERCISE WHEN U THINK UR EATING TOO MUCH. PLEASE DONT THROW UP. MY FRIEND DOES IT & I GET SOO SCARED THAT SHE'LL JUST COLLAPSE! BEST OF LUCK

get involved in things that interest you, preferably something physically demanding.
