I came very close to having surgery to help my ovaries due to the PCOS but the dr I consulted about that recommended that I not have the surgery as it would only cause more scar tissue.

What kind of surgery are you having for your PCOS? If it's a hysterectomy it won't cure the PCOS as it is an endocrine disorder that needs to be managed with medication or diet for some women.

Also, the cysts (when they appear) due to PCOS if they are removed can actually do more damage to the ovary because when they appear they look a lot like a string of pearls. Not everyone who has PCOS has the classic cysts.

Sorry that I can't be of more help but if you could give a bit more info then I might be able to help you out here. Sorry for the confusion.
