Health - 19 February 2007

I have a scar on my hand that has healed except a small slit. The scar a result of accidently cutting my hand open and had surgery on it a year ago. The small slit concerns me for I think if something tugs too hard on it, it will split open again and this closed wound does go down to the bone. What type of doctor I see to close this up or ask about this?

I am 18 years old and desperately want to be a mum. I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years and are planning on getting engaged. We are both financially stable, I am in a very well paying job I have been a babysitter for 2 years and have look after several of my recently born cousins. I am perfectly capable of looking after a child. I think that I am emotionally financially etc ready for the responsibility of having a baby. I dont want criticism or discrimination beacuse of my age, I am asking for advice......the only thing I am worried about is my family. I am not living at home and have been independently living for quite a while but im not sure what my parents reaction will be. i know they will support me but im not sure how to tell them.

I slept with my contacts in, I know, bad idea, but I just fell asleep. I awoke with the left side of my left eye all red. It didn't spread to the rest of my eye so I knew it wasn't pink eye. Now, a day later, the redness is the same, but now, there is a pimple-looking spot in the middle of the redness. I am of to the DR tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone knows what this is or could be...? Thanks!

the human body needs alot of water every single day(atleast 8 glasses), but i don't drink maybe even half that much, i don't even drink straight water(watered down koolaid and tea and juices)..so why is my body waisting excess fluid when supposedly i need so much?..why do we even urinate? and why is urine yellow?

what does fecal matter consist of?...i'm thinking like fat and the actual matter of the food itself, but then again all of that is dissolved by stomach acid before it even becomes fecal matter and what makes it brown?

how long does it take for food and liquids to become excreted?(from the time of swallowing it till the time for it to come out)...these are all wierd questions that i've wanted to know since i was a kid but obviuosly couldn't just ask any random person....

I wear my contacts all the time I sleep with my contacts I swim with my contacts I always have my contacts in! I am nearsided (I can't see far away) my parents tell me to always take out my contacts when I sleep but it's a habit and I don't remember to. Just recently I noticed a white bump on the inside of my eye lid it's soar and it puffy! I'm scaried wat do I do. My parents are telling me to let my eyes rest for awhile

The deseast was found at about 6:48am, with no external wounds. He had a increased amount of Mucus in Lungs, Trachea, Nasal Cavety, and Pharynx. The body Temp at 7:05 am was 101.7of. Both eyes were red and swollen, Giving off puss. his wif said that he had trouble breathing, a sore throat, headaches, lethargy for the past few days. He did not take any illegal drugs nor was he on prescrition drugs.
~~Any suggestions on what may of caused this?



And we know its not Pneumonia

i am 20 years old and just found out 2weeks ago that i have endo. i immediatly had surgery b/c of a cyst on my right ovary and endo on the back of my uterus w/ little blotches here and there. (that was lasered off) i have been doing research now b/c i had no clue what endo was and was shocked to hear i had a cyst>let alone endo... my question is has anyone not had a reoccurance since surgery? i am very worried now just hopeing i dont get this again> please help!!!

Im female 19

Ive had this pain right by my thumbs for a few years. Its not all the time. But it started when i would do pushups. It changes in severity,
Sometimes it feels better when i rub it.
Sometimes its acheing and sometimes its severe, snd its in both hands

Its right at the base of the wrist where your thumb ends. It hurts sometimes when i do nothing.

I just dont know what it is. Any comments are much appreciated.
Can't really go to doctor b/c I have no money and no health insurance

I dont want to diet because I dont want a small chest and booty, so please no answers about dieting. Not Paris Hilton MaryKate and Lindsay Lohan shapes EWWWW YUCK NO (I'm not built like that anyway), I'm talkin bout that video girl shape, I love my thickness and the niccas do too. I just want to tighten up my body and make my coke bottle figure standout perfectly. And get a little bit of abs up in there at the same time.
I'm 5'1 and weigh 150 my measurements are 40D- 30- 44 if I use the ablounge for 30minutes and run for at least 2 hours a day, do you think my body can be really toned in like 3 months for bike week?

hey im 14 almost 15 and i got my period about a week before i turned 13 its been almost 2 years now. i thouht my period was going to be irregular for about a year after i got it but it want it was perfect exactly every 28 days for 5 days each time. but then suddenly about 6 months later i missed one and its been like that ever since. i never got cramps in the begining but now i get them really bad. i throw up and i get a fever and everything.(its really bad) i havnt told anyone i expecte it to even out again but it hasnt. Any suggestions? please i dont know what to do......even suggestions for the cramps! thank you!
