I've been going to the doctors for the last 4 months for anxiety attacks and have been on Effexor and Ativan. My teacher who is my friend is very worried about me becuase im so easily put in tears or close too, my sleeping and eating habits have been off and i've become very anxious. She made me book an appointment at the doctors and wants to go with me becuase 1) my family doesnt know i'm on them and 2) shes afraid im not telling the doctor 100% of what im experiancing. Would you let her come with you?? Wouldnt the doctor shrugg her shoulders at me ?? Please your opinion helps

Heres the facts:For 3 months i've had burning when i pee.Doctors thought it was bladder infection because there WAS bacteria, so i took antibiotics, 3 times! but it didnt go away.No STD's, not a yeast, not a bacterial infection.they did a cystoscopy and found nothing.There is no more bacteria..since i took the antibiotics but the burning is still there. I usually dont have frequency but sometimes do... One day it wont burn all day and the next it will burn for hours. I am not having sex. I am on Ortho tri cyclen birth control but started taking those pills after i had these symptoms so it cant be from that. My urologist says i should get this surgery that shows if i have interstitial cystitis. Other doctors don't think i have it,personally dont think i have it... What else could this be...it is unbearable when it starts burning. Also when i have frequency (which isn't all the time) it just drips out a little bit when i push the urine out. Its not the laundry detergent either.thoughts?

About a month ago, I noticed that the knuckles on my hands were black and blue/greenish. I figured it was just dry skin or cold hands and it would just go away. Well, it's been over a month now and they're still like that. Any wonder as to what it could be, and should I contact a doctor?

It hurts very bad...like somebody is squeezing my bottom teeth together...i got 2 bridges done on both sides...i have been takin advil for about 8 days now and the pain hasnt got any better...is there any suggestions to why it could be hurting this long and what can i do...thanks so much for the help

I'm looking for people who use 'adaptive clothing' who are interested in helping with a thesis project. The thesis relates to people (or caregivers of people) with limited mobility, including but not limited to: spinal cord injuries, amputees, etc...

The difficulty getting in and out of clothes sometimes makes it neccesary to use special adaptive clothing. This clothing is designed to be more utilitarian than fashionable. The thesis is centered around making a fashionable line of clothing that is accessable to everyone.

i got really cold, then i started shaking, and when i started shaking i could not stop my teeth were even clacking together, i was trembling and it went on for about fourty five minutes and i never did get warm.Did my body temperature drop or what? this was a spooky situation that i will never forget... Swollen Taste buds......?

Hey guys, for the past week I've been noticing that my taste buds are "bumpy" meaning that they are like raised bumps against my tongue, and not just in one place of the tongue, pretty much all over it and the color is pretty normal.

I read somewhere that this can be caused by an allergic reaction or irritation to spicy foods. well, I haven't really eaten anything that would give me and allergic reaction. and I've grown up eating spicy foods so irritation to spicy foods seems unlikely.

If anybody here has had a similar problem please let me know what you found out about it. i'm really starting to get worried but i've been told not to worry about it.

I finally got the surgery approved by my health insurance so I am scheduling a date asap with this surgeon. He has great recommendations from some family friends that had the same procedure.
Do you have any recommendations or questions I should ask? For example, my aunt told me to loose as much weight as possible so when they do the lift it won't sag if I have to loose 20lbs. I don't think I am that overweight, but could loose a few ;)

When i was in grade 8 i never had acne nothing. Then when i wait to grade 9 i had longer hair that was 1 or 2 inch away from my eyes. So still at the bigging of grade 9 i still did not have acne but then maybe 2 months or i don't i started to get some could this be because of my hair. Is maybe my pores suffocating because my hair is over my forehead. What should i do to stop the acne problem and still have my long hair.

Embarrassing, but in need of advice?
Im 13 and started my period in Noember...I use tampons now, but they usually are very hard to get out and hurt...sometimes to the point where my eyes water lol. I know this happens when the tampon is too big, but I am extremley petite, but have a heavy flow (I'm talking like 4'8) what is the best tampon to use for this problem? I was told to use pads, but I really prefer not to, besides...I bleed through those quickly

Last year i have been getting some acne or pimples on my forehead now it seems to have settled and i don't really get anymore. but now there seems to be either black heads small ones or i'm not exactly sure now. I cant help but wonder how many of these "mentally ill" folks are simply suffering from a poor upbringing or gross lack of self-discipline. This is not hard science in the same sense that Cardiology is a hard science. Theory and conjecture are stated as fact and then force fed to the general population.

I cant tell you how many times Ive seen "mentally ill" people pull that like an emergency Get Out of Jail Free card. Whan tey are over-reacting to some benign, percieved slight, its always the same exscuse. True mental illness is such a rarity, and yet despicable people continue to take advantage of the kindness of others and blame it on "illness".

We can call anything a disease these days. Are you too fat? Its a genetic flaw in your brain that causes you to overeat. Drink too much? Thats a disease too. Has nothing to do with the fact that YOU let it get out of hand. Depressed? Is self-pity one of your personality traits? Who knows.

All responses welcome. Its OK to be angry.
