Embarrassing, but in need of advice?
Im 13 and started my period in Noember...I use tampons now, but they usually are very hard to get out and hurt...sometimes to the point where my eyes water lol. I know this happens when the tampon is too big, but I am extremley petite, but have a heavy flow (I'm talking like 4'8) what is the best tampon to use for this problem? I was told to use pads, but I really prefer not to, besides...I bleed through those quickly

they make a very, very tiny brand and you can wear a liner also, but if your haveing a lot of pain then you should not be using them for a few years they can cause a disease called PID....just use the pads for heavy flow-night time until you get a little older and the periods will get a little lighter

I don't really know which tampon you should use, since you are petite but have a heavy flow. Maybe you should just try some different kinds. Make sure you are leaving them in long enough to get absorbed enough, because if it isn't absorbed enough it will hurt getting out, it has happened to me before. Just don't leave them in for more then 6 hours :)

Well I am long past using any of those things now as I am 76 years young. However when I was using them I found that if you lubricate the tube with gel of some sort, I used vaseline. then it was easier to insert. You could use a smaller one and change them often. I would suggest doing that as you could damage your body if it is hurting you.
As fr the heavy flow I will recommend this Dr. as he is a Herbolist and has many patients who have been helped by his products and expertise

Maybe try a few different brands, some of them are made a little differently and you might find one that is more comfortable for your body.
Sounds like you may need a tampon that is less absorbent and smaller- wear a pantyliner with it in case of any leaking. Eventually through trial and error you will find the right size and brand for you.

I tried to use tampons one time. It felt unnatural and I decided then I would have to stick with pads. I've been okay with that and I'm 10 years older than you so I just wanted you to know that's it's okay to be a "pad's girl" if you insist try using Playtex pearl they seem like the best to me.

playtex pearl is pretty good. try using the ones for medium flow. they're a little smaller and if that dont work u could use the smallest ones and wear a panty liner to catch the rest. u also need to be careful when using tampons cuz they can do alot of damage and if u get tss it could kill u. so just be careful and try what i suggested and change them often to reduce irritation and that will also let u be able to use the smaller ones. good luck

When I was 15 something similar happened to me. I went to the doctor and she said I can not use tampons I am allergic to something in it that causes me to be prone to toxic shock. Talk to a Dr. maybe bring it up during a visit, thats what I did. I hope you figure this out.

Your tampons don't want to come out, because you are not flowing enough for the one you are using , when they are dry, it really hurts to take them out, or you are changing them too often. try a smaller absorbency . or switch to pads.

I used to be that way but just use all kids of tampons and make sure that they are sooked are it i will hurt getting it out ouch
