I know that some dental schools offer this service, but usually an application is needed and then a long wait. I have helped her some but her dentist said this could be 1500.00 or more. What do people do when in pain and cant qualify for assistance and cant work because of illness? thanks

My Girlfriend has just been diagnosed with UC. It's been 4 days since her colonoscopy and she is still in pain and feeling sick. We are planning to go back to the Doctors tomorrow, however I was hoping you may have some thoughts on what may help! Are their good foods to eat! Certain excursuses that will help?

Any suggestions would be great as she is in a lot of pain and discomfort and i want some kind of game plan to help her!

ok i am 5 feet exactly and i weigh like122 pounds. i went to my doctor for an annual check up and she said that it would not hurt if i lost about fifteen pounds. the onley problem is that i do not know any tricks to lose weight. i know the basics like exersize and eat healthy. but other than that i am totally lost. is there any tips that i could use???????????????????????????????????????????

alright i have a problem....i eat just like a normal person except i eat less. well since my stomach is smaller, i can't eat a lot. so i eat my breakfast, go to school eat my yogurt for lunch, come home and have like an apple and then my mom comes home and says ok its time for supper. Half the time im not even hungry but she forces me to eat anyways. i tell her that im still full and i can't eat anything and she always thinks that im fine and just don't want to eat. its not that im full!! and she stuffs and makes sure i have a proper amount. right now i feel as if i wanna puke. can anyone help me here, how can i tell my mom no?

and I was wondering.. is cheddar cheese okay to snack on during a diet? Just wondering, since it's always been one of my favorites.

What is a good diet for a 19 yr. old male? I attend college so I basically eat what is being served in the cafeteria, which isn't to healthy. I also walk to my classes and that helps with the excersise part. I am fat and I need to loose weight. I am tired of being stared at and made fun of just because I am fat. I remember reading somewhere that if you use acne medication that you should not go out in the sun. I am currently going to a tanning bed a few times a week, so I was wondering what would be the best thing to do?

Should I use the medication at night, and then if I am going tanning a certain day, just not use the medication that morning?

My wife began suffering from constipation a few months before we got married (wich she told me this a year after we were married) She says she will go for more than a month without been able to 'go', she would get the signs of the urge to go, but when she'd sit on the throne, lol, she just cant go!. She tried various things already, and at first i thought maybe the medicines she took made her system dependant on them them to be able to clear the stuff, but it has been a long time now. She has been dealing with this for more than 2 years now. She eats all kinds of fiber rich foods and supplements and still wont do the trick naturally, she has to take the chinese slimming tea wich takes effect the next morning. But I cant understand, there is no bleeding, no loss of apetite, no unusual symptoms except for the urge to go and the frustration of not being able to push the stuff out and feeling the relief that the stuff is gone. Please help!

I've had a blood clot on top of my foot for 3 months now. I've been taking aspirin for weeks at a time, along with either Naproxen (Aleve) or Ibuprofen (Advil), I've been soaking my foot in hot water for hours, I've used a warm compress, and I've elevated my foot when I can (especially when I'm sleeping), but the clot remains. If I had insurance, obviously I'd see a doctor, but since I don't I'm wondering if anyone has any advise for this clot. I'm considering cutting along the length of the vein and seeing what happens. The vein hurts a little and my calf is occasionally sore. Sure, its possible I have deep vein thrombosis, but without insurance and any severe symptoms, that isn't something I can address.

Like with most drugs, I'm thinking "no". Lately, I've been taking 1-2 of those little blue tabs to get to sleep at night. I've noticed I have to take more to feel the effect and also take with alcohol. Plus, they seem to take on hours after I take them and then last into the morning when I don't want to be sleepy. How much risk is involved here? I'm currently about 220 lbs 5'7", no not all fat :) reasonable shape otherwise. Is there a better alternative? I don't take any other drugs, but I do drink occasionally. TIA for any help!

This just started yestirday... well... after a long night of drinking and partying.. I didnt go to sleep until 4:30 or 5 in the morning... and woke up about 11:30 am... I felt fine that whole day.. then the next mornign i woke up.... and my throat hurt.... not really to bad.. but... enough to not want to go to school... well.. i went anyway.. and it kindof got a little worse.. its at the very top of my throat and when i swallow it hurts.. also, Im very tired.. and feel weak.. and my site is kindof shifty...... anyone know whats wrong?

Ok, so a little background info...

Back in December, I had a UTI (urinary tract infection) and took antibiotics for it (but i only took them for one day). I am also on the birth control pill. Now, a few days after my UTI was gone, my boyfriend and I had relations =] a few times; and these happened to be on days when I am usually most fertile.

I did start my period when I am normally scheduled to... my chances of pregnancy I thought was completely 100% not possible. But what I did notice is that I had cramps on the second day (which I have always had them on the first day) and the whole time the blood flow was considerably less than normal. It was also more twinged with a brown color the whole period.

A week prior to this, I was having bad back pains and constant gas. I still get nausea feeling periodically throughout the day, and will get cravings for different foods more often than usual.

Now for the eperienced women out there, do you think that I could be pregnant
