What about all the scriptures saying God sent his SON? John 3:16, 18 John 17:3 Colossians 1:15-17 Revelation 3:14 John 1:14 1John 4:9 Matthew 8:29 Matthew 3:16,17 Nevermind the ones where Christ refers to his Father: John 20:17 2Corinthians 1:3 John 8:17,18 John 5:19 John 6:40 John 7:16 Luke 4:18 Matthew 20:23 Luke 22:42 Luke 23:46 John 14:28 See also: Mark 12:32 1Corinthians 15:24,28 Matthew 14:33 Also that scripture that you quoted (Matthew 27:46) doesn't prove that Jesus is not God's son. That was Jesus crying out in the pangs of death. But you are right when you say God is the most Absolute God. Jesus is God's son but he is not equal to God.

Oh, gag me with a spoon! I'm SO over those Bible-thumpers who are such suckers for a bunch of books written by fallible men influenced by the culture of the day in which they lived. The worst are the ones who believe a person is damned because he/she isn't a Christian! I've seen more hypocrites who call themselves Christian--- how about "love thy neighbor as thyself"?. If they truly lived their faith, they wouldn't judge people who are different from them (gays, muslims, etc.). Don't they believe that God is the only one qualified to judge?
No, I don't believe Jesus to be the Son of God (if he ever existed, at all) any more than I am.
By the way, I know a Catholic priest that says Mary wasn't a virgin; she was "without sin". Go back to the original Classical Greek, if you don't believe me.

I was raised as a Catholic, but frankly, I think most of the stuff in organized religions is myth. But if he was a good guy, who continues to inspire some people to do good, that's fine with me. I pretty much feel the same way about the celebrities in other religions. Who knows? Guess we'll all just have to wait and see!

No, but it made a good story!
Religions are the result of man's fear of death and his inability to explain his existence...not to mention the most successful business ever created!
Unlike all the bible thumpers and other religious promoters, I make no claim to having any idea what created this awesome universe. But, whatever it is, it gave me a bull sh...it filter called my BRAIN! I use it!
The real truth, and scientific fact, is far more fascinating than silly fairy stories about angel, devils, heaven and hell.
Down through time, only the names of the gods have changed.

People need hope. To be honest, I doubt such a person ever existed, I don't think there is a god, only a future worth fighting for. Some people are weak, others seek opportunity and there are hucksters who look for sheep in order to start a flock.

The story of Jesus is amazingly similar to that of Osiris as well as other virign birth stories predateing Christianity. If Christ existed, to me, he was just a fully evolved human being here to teach and guide.
And the thumbs down don't mean squat to me, all you fundies...

Why does it matter to you what I think? Do you want the world to change so it agrees with you? Is Jesus important in your life or are you upset because he's important in other people's lives? And again, why would that matter?

Jesus is the son of God and the Messiah. He died so if we accept him our sins will be forgiven and we could go to heaven.
