You could have strep throat or Mono.

"Adults with strep throat may have a sore throat, a fever and swollen neck glands. They usually don’t have a cough or a runny nose.

Children with strep throat have a sore throat and may have tummy pain or a red rash with small spots. The rash is worse under the arms and in skin creases."

"Signs of mono include fever, sore throat, headaches, white patches on the back of your throat, swollen glands in your neck, feeling tired and not feeling hungry."

It sounds like the same symptoms my roommate suffers from after a night of drinking. Usually a couple of days after drinking, he sufferes from bad (seasonal) allergy attacks. The first symptom is a sore throat and it is followed by severe coughing and mucous build-up in his lungs. It did not start until last year and it has taken a toll on his social (drinking) life. It sounds just like you've developed the same allergies my roommate has, but don't take my word for it. Go to a doctor and he/she can give you a proper diagnosis. Good luck!

My guess is that you wore yourself down by partying and drinking and may be starting with a respiratory infection.

My advise would be: Gargle with some lightly salted warm water, Drink several glasses of water, Take an OTC pain med like Tylenol or Advil or what every you usually take and go to bed early.

its probably a result of either staying up too late, drinking, or both. see a doctor.
