This may be first symptoms of Carpal Tunnel or repetitive stress injury. I use to design websites and play computer games for long periods of time. My wrist would become sore but I ignored it and kept going. Now when I bend my wrist a certain way it can be quite painful. There are certain things you can do to prevent this such as simple rotation and stretching of your wrist and arm every hour of being on the computer. This also gives your eyes a chance to rest also. The position of your body and arms when using the mouse and keyboard can also cause wrist, arm, neck, and back pains. Some say an ergonomic mouse helps, those less expensive mouse that comes with your pc usually are not very good for people with Carpal Tunnel. If the pain persist, please go see a doctor immediately before it becomes worst.

I wonder if it could be the start of carpel tunnel which is the compression of the nerve in the wrist. I had it in both wrist and it was very painful. It can cause weakness in the arms too. my arms were so weak that I could hardly lift even a gallon of milk. It can cause pain in the arms and hands and fingers; the pain will wake you up at night and your hands feel like they're asleep to the point you have to shake them and that doesn't help much. You can try wearing a wrist brace to see if that helps to relieve the pressure on the nerve. I tried the brace for 4 weeks to no avail and the end result for me was surgery in both wrists and that was four years ago I have been pain free ever since. My advice to you is try the brace for a few weeks if it doesn't help get an appointment with your doctor, he will probably send you for a nerve conductor test and that will help him diagnose your wrist pain. Good luck and let us all know how your doing.

This is far more likely to be an overuse problem than anything else. At this point, the best thing that you can do is to NOT use the computer for a while, and to give your right arm/hand a true rest.
Then, have your workstation examined to make certain that it's set up correctly for you.
If you still have continue to experience this pain, see your doctor.

Depends, it can be as simple as just muscle pain for being on the computer for four straight hours or it can be the beginning of carpal tunnel. Put some ice on it for awhile.

It could be a few different things, it could be a pinched nerve, to carpaltunnel, but try now and then to slowly move it around, to get the blood circulation going.
