What is a good diet for a 19 yr. old male? I attend college so I basically eat what is being served in the cafeteria, which isn't to healthy. I also walk to my classes and that helps with the excersise part. I am fat and I need to loose weight. I am tired of being stared at and made fun of just because I am fat. I have also been under a lot of stress here lately and when I am stressed or bored I turn to food.

There are some very simple things you can do. If you can have a small fridge in your room, then I would keep healthy snacks in it like oranges and apples, string cheese, yorgurt, baby carrots that kind of thing. You can put some of those things in you backpack and snack on them during the day. Then when you feel the need to eat, you are eating things that are healthy. I love to snack on Frozen cherries, they are out of season this time of year, but if you were able to get fresh cherries some how from the store of farmers market, you put them in a ziploc baggy and put them in the freezer, that makes something great to snack on.

Don't carry change, stick to your debit card or checks. A debit card does not work in the vending machine. There goes that tempatation.

Also instead of Soda, keep bottled water, or juice like minute Maid, or Sunny D.

Don't cut junk food entirely out of your diet, just limit yourself. Say that on Sun-Friday you will not have any junk food, but that on Saturday, you can endulge a little, maybe go get a hamburger or something on Saturday.

Good luck- walking the campus should keep up your excersize.

When you are bored go to the GYM! Exercise in combination with fruits, vegetables, protein, (some fat), and water are the way to lose weight. Its mind of matter baby. You can do it!!
