I am 5 foot 6 and weigh 190 pounds. I know that I am overweight, but I want to know the scientific wieght that I am supposed to be. Please don't just make up some stupid answer. Thank you.

my niece thinks she has worms in her stool i have heard of that but i also heard that if you have worms the symptoms are hunger, itchy bottom esp at night, and loss of wt.. well she says she has the first 2 but not the wt loss in fact she has gained some wt lately so could this really be worms or is it just something sh is eating that looks like them? and also if you do poop them out do they move or are they dead? i am srry i know this is really gross but she cant afford to go to the dr and i am not sure what to tell her

My friend, who is 40, and lives near Houston, Tx. has been out of work for over 4 years mainly due to the fact he became legally blind. He had one eye operated on already (corneal transplant), and his vision in that one eye has improved. However, he is still legally blind in the other eye. Soon, my friend may be able to drive and work again, but that hasn't happened yet.

My friend is eager to have his sight in both eyes, rather than just one. The organization that helped him with the first surgery won't operate on the second eye. So now my friend doesn't have the funding to pay for the entire procedure.

Any useful advise (orgainzations, clinics, websites, etc.) for my friend in how to get assicstance for his much needed eye operation. Thank you.

i was prescribed effexor-xr more than 2 weeks ago by my doctor without being evaluated for what might be my problem. i was on the lowest dose (37.5) and started the 75 mg dose yesterday. i really don't like medication to begin with and i don't like what this is doing to me. i have no appetite, i can't sleep, when i'm awake i feel listless, when i try to sleep, i can't stay still, i feel more depressed than ever, i can't do anything! he said that the symptoms are normal and should go away after a week or two, but they just seem to be getting worse.

i know that you can't just discontinue anti-depressants and that you have to taper off for awhile. but i was wondering that since i've only been on it for 2 weeks and on the lowest dose, would it be okay to just throw this stuff down the toilet?! i can't take it anymore!

i stoped smoking almost five weeks ago, instead of it getting easier it seems it is getting harder on me, i am sooooooo tempted to go get me a pack of sigs and smoke them all, why is it and does anyone have any segestions????

I'm 14 and 5'3". it's ok and maybe average(is it?). but still I do have a passion for modeling and really want to get taller because in order to be a model you need to be around 5'7".
So please help me.
oh and I can't join a volleyball or a basketball class because I'm TOO busy.

I had an abdominal hernia repaired exactly 1 month ago. Would it now be safe to go to Disneyland and ride the rides? I wouldn't want to tear anything but my kids really want to go tomorrow. I could call my doctor but this seems like such a dumb question!

I mean take a depressed patient who might be embarrassed to tell his/her doctor that he/she is suicidal or even to embarrassed to call the telenurse and tell him/her. Wouldn't it be easier for people who find it difficult to talk to their doctor or a telenurse if they could simply send an email?

#3 would hurt occasionally when I would grind it for 2 years. It then started to ache and I had a root canal done my an eminent Endo. 5 months it was fine - now it hurts again. (I have no #2 and 4-5-6 are also RCT. The oddest thing is sensing cold - perhaps at the base of the tooth at the roof.

We have basically taken the tooth out of occlusal and I still have this unexplainable pain/sensitivity to cold. No one can explain it. The endo and my dentist both say the xray is clear and don't suspect cracked tooth syndrome because of the time (3yrs) that its been xrayed, etc.

It is crowned.

Any new thoughts? I wear a night guard and my gum health is pefect. My sinuses are clean.

I was told there is a federal program that pays all costs involved but, I have been searching all day and just can not find one. By the way, he resides in California, and also owns a small cafe. The expense of the dialysis and other diabetes related expenses even with Medicare is out of his financial ability to continue with the treatments! Please help us.
