It depends on your height and weight.
You can caluculate if you are obese by caluculating the Body Mass Index-- which is weight in kilograms, divided by the height in meters squared.
The normal BMI is 20-25 kg/m squared.
27.5 -30 is mildly obese
30-40 is moderately obese
greater than 40 is severely obese

I'm not sure whether or not you should continue a friendship with this guy. Regardless of why he fed you that much, he obviously had intentions and knew that this sort of thing would make you unhealthy. Do you want a friend that puts your health at risk for a laugh/personal interest? The weight will not come off easily, but since you are young and male, it will come off easier than it will for most. You are going to have to face the fact that you will be hungry--a lot. 1) Cut out soda. 2) Cut out fast food 3) Make a point of being more active (take the stairs, not the elevator; park farther away from buildings, etc.) 4) Keep yourself busy so you're not so focused on food. 5) Exercise and work out. 6) Don't eat within the four hours you are going to go to bed. 7) Don't short yourself on sleep. 8) Find out a healthy caloric intake for your height and stick to it. (Food journals work for some people.) Hope this helps. Good luck!!

I believe morbidly obese is 100 pounds overweight. Although, I quite think anything over 30 pounds should be considered morbid since that is the "magic" number where they say your body goes into survival mode and things start going wrong.

Yes, probably. I don't think 50lb would be though. Usually about 75lb overweight is morbidly obese. HTH.

I hate to say it but yes. But if the person was to lose 1/2 the pounds overweight they would be SOO much healthier and happier.
