I am 5 foot 6 and weigh 190 pounds. I know that I am overweight, but I want to know the scientific wieght that I am supposed to be. Please don't just make up some stupid answer. Thank you.

You didn't speak about your body fat percentage and body type, so I'm going to give you a general answer for a woman 5' 6'' tall.

115 to 155 lbs, which correspond to the normal BMI range (18.5 to 25).

Be careful BMI does not make any distinction between muscle and fat, so a person whose weight is 160 but has a lot of muscle could still be a healthy one.

I am 5' 6'' tall and my weight is 120... I started exercising in order to loose fat... i did loose fat but gained in muscle... so I am 7 lbs heavier now but paradoxically my size is smaller (I just bought a XS dress, and the S size is consistently too big for me).

This is to say, numbers are all relative, unless you know how your body is composed.
