I had some blood drawn on Friday morning and now there's a big black bruise the size of a very large egg (not a lump, just black surface that size.) It seems to be growing and is tender. Am I highly sensitive or did the nurse do something?

i was wondering if i could skip the week of placebos and start a new pack right away. i dont want to have my period next week cause i will be staying at in-laws for christmas. i have never done it before and i want to make sure it doesnt mess anything up because it is a low dose pill.

Can tampons make your period shorter? When ever I use tampons, my period is about 4 days long. Do the tampons absorb more blood, or do I just have a short period? Thanks!

All my life i have weigh anywhere from 100 to 106 pounds. I've had two kids and once I had them i went right back to my normal weight. I want to be anywhere from 115 to 125 pounds. I do crunches because after having two kids i want flatter abs but i also want to gain weight in my arms and thighs. What should I do. I hate being so skinny!

My Daughter was recently in the hospital because her gums got so Inflamed that you could not see her teeth, I brush her teeth 3 times a day and give her daily vitamins. She couldnt eat or drink anything for 4 days and the doctors couldnt ever tell me what was wrong or how to fix it

I have been smoking for a year and thought about quitting. how long would it take for me to quit?

last question. what are the urges like after smoking. i've been asking my step dad who hasn't had a cigarette in over a decade and he says that he still has an urge to smoke a cigarette. is this true? i know if i don't have a cigarette in a while i get an urge, which i can handle, but will i live with an urge to have a cigarette for the rest of my life if i do quit

3 days ago I was working out, held the bar the wrong way and now my thumb, index, and middle finger are numb. It also travels up my forearm and stops at my elbow. I figured by now i would be okay, but its just as numb as day one. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this???

My right eye is really sore...when i close my lid and touch it or rub it gently, it's very tender to the touch. it almost feels like it's bruised! there is no puss, no redness, no swelling...looks completely normal. what is going on?? My left eye feels completely normal. I'm not having any difficulty seeing out of either eye. I wear soft contact lenses most of the day, and occasionally glasses.

My husband just recently left me-saying I am unhealthy and need to get help. I have been crying for over a month now, and cant seem to bring myself back up. A friend of mine told me to go to co-dependancy.com and see if i could answer the quiz. I went, and answered yes to 21 out of 22. I dont know where to go from here. I have looked for a support group in my are, and found none. I think I am depressed, and just want to get better. I have two children who need me, and I am falling apart. What is the next step, what have other people done to help get better? I want to feel better about myself and stop blaming myself for everything that happens.

Since childhood, people have said that they've never seen someone with a perfect face and such a glorious physique. And now that I'm an adult, I still hear the same tune repeated over and over. That I have perfect facial symmetry i.e. piercing green/blue eyes, perfectly shaped nose, soft and supple lips with flawless pearly white teeth and a chin that could only come from a royal lineage. In other words, I am the most handsome man alive that I almost look divine.

My 57 year-old Aunt experienced a CVA (cerebrovascular accident or stroke). HEr symptoms which include motor deficiencies in her right arm and leg, were corrected by a technique that involved catherization and removal of an embolus from the left middle cerebral artery. Her doctor used no X-Rays or MRIs, so how did he know to look for the clot in this precise location?
