i was wondering if i could skip the week of placebos and start a new pack right away. i dont want to have my period next week cause i will be staying at in-laws for christmas. i have never done it before and i want to make sure it doesnt mess anything up because it is a low dose pill.

No problem. I have been doing this for years without any problems. It especially came in handy on my wedding day! Since this is your first time, I'd suggest that you wear a panty liner in case it doesn't stop everything. You may still cramp up a little bit, but that shouldn't stop you.

I've done this before. You can try it, but you will probably have some slight cramping and some breakthrough bleeding.
