My right eye is really sore...when i close my lid and touch it or rub it gently, it's very tender to the touch. it almost feels like it's bruised! there is no puss, no redness, no swelling...looks completely normal. what is going on?? My left eye feels completely normal. I'm not having any difficulty seeing out of either eye. I wear soft contact lenses most of the day, and occasionally glasses.

You may have a sty in your eye. Try placing a warm damp wash c;cloth over the eye three times a day for about 10 minutes.
A sty is like a pimple, you may not be able to see it.
If this doesn't help you should see an optometrist for advice.

I work for an optometrist and we see this all the time...1. If you sleep in your contacts, DONT.... you can get all sorts of ulcers...and infections...2. Get to your optometrist ASAP... You probably have an bacterial infection or something on the inside of your eye lid...either way go have it checked out!...it shouldn't cost you more than 35 dollars! But until you get it checked out STAY OUT of your CONTACTS!...Your doctor might even have you throw them away...And you should use Clear Care its a solution...and it works wonders...it takes off all the build up on your contacts!

Ok, you may have a bacterial infection from the contact lenses...(yes, they can pick up bacteria if handled improperly).

I would go to your eye doctor quickly and have him/her diagnose what you have and get an ointment or creme to put into your eyes in order to abate this situation...

Until then, I would "stop" wearing the contacts, and switch to glasses if you have them, or not wear them in that one eye until you see the Doc about it...

I wish you well...

Jesse
