Yes, it CAN affect how your body responds to the antibiotic. Alcohol is processed through your liver, as is your antibiotic. Depending on your body's metabolism it could alter the effectiveness of your medication.

It should say DO NOT TAKE WITH ALCOHOL on the label...
As far as i knew alcohol inhibits the antibiotic from working correctly.
I'm sure you can hold off on the beer for a week or so until your medication is gone.

It shouldn't, but it will make the antibiotic less effective

No, alcohol will not affect any antibiotics. (Provided you dont take it "with" the beer).

All it will do is get you drunk.

no but it will cause the antibiotic to not work and you'll remain sick/infected.
