I have been going on job interviews, but my Doc wants this tooth out so I may use my benefits before the end of the year.

You can have swelling and bruising after getting out impacted wisdom teeth: http://www.smileconnection.com/DentalHealth/ThirdMolarWisdomTeethExtractions.aspx . It is more commen in females than males. Make sure to follow the instructions after surgery to minimize the swelling and bruising.

Best advice I can give you is not to talk after the next couple of days.-that will minimize bruising and swelling.

Yes, all wisdom tooth extractions are usually uncomfortable, more so if the tooth is impacted.
Do not count on dental benefits yet if you are still job hunting. For some companies, the benefits do not kick in until after you have worked there for a few months at least.

Depends how impacted the tooth is and how easily you bruise,
I had only a little swelling and no bruise.

I had a lot of swelling, no visible brusing though. It would be worth it to use your benefits.
