My Daughter was recently in the hospital because her gums got so Inflamed that you could not see her teeth, I brush her teeth 3 times a day and give her daily vitamins. She couldnt eat or drink anything for 4 days and the doctors couldnt ever tell me what was wrong or how to fix it

I don't have a source, but I think you're brushing the toddler's teeth TOO often. It's causing irritation, especially if you aren't using a SOFT bristle brush. It's recommended twice per day (morning and night) or so if memory serves me correctly.

1. Has it got better?
2. Have you always brushed her teeth, or just started after this incident?
3. Surely the docs must've done some blood tests to eliminate possibility of a blood disorder, or tested for a primary acute case of cold sores (herpes)?

it can be caused by many things she could have juvinille gingivitis , she could have teeth coming in she could also have something stuck in there but it could be because of all that brushing your wearing down her enamel and her gums are covering the teeth as a protectant also check the vitamins they could be abrasive to her teeth if they aresensitive

Lack of brushing/brushing properly.
