I had wisdom tooth surgery on Friday, and it is now Monday and that side of my face is still swollen, what I can do to bring the swelling down, so I can go to work tomorrow?

i am so scared that when i get them off in 2 weeks that the spots were the brackets were are gonna be a different color then the part of my tooth the bracket didn't touch.
you know because food hasn't touch under the bracket in a long time? so is that even possible?

i guess i'm just thinking about the worst

okay, so my orthodontist said i'd get my braces off in March, if I wore my rubber bands. Well, I have, but they're so painful (on my bottom molars) that I can't close my mouth, and I can't sleep, can't eat, can barely talk. It's almost unbearable. And they seem to shift back if I take them out for just a minute or two. Anybody know what I should do? Also, is getting braces off painful? Because these are coming off right before a trip to Italy, and I don't want excrutiating international pain. Thanks, much appreciated on both questions!

My periods usually come every 4-5 weeks or so, genreally closer to 5 weeks. Last week it came about a week late (6 weeks since the one before that) and my current one came about 3 weeks after, so about a week or so early.

Are there any type of causes for early periods? I know late periods can mean pregnancy, stress, change of diet and excercise, etc. But I've never really heard anyone mention about it starting early in the cycle.

I've had my period for about 9-10 years now, so I know it has nothing to do with it being irregular from just starting.

So, does that necessarily mean anything?

I began using the Nuvaring birth control at the start of my last cycle (november 19) Soon after my period ended my fiance and I had intercourse, but he didn't pull out. The instructions say that the birth control takes effect after 7 days..I do believe this incident happened on the 7th day. It is the 18th now, and I began bleeding, thinking it was my period..5 hours later and there has been barely any flow and it is dark. I usually have a pretty heavy period. Could this be happening because of starting birth control, or should i get a pregnancy test?

I am on ortho tri cyclen and i picked up my first script today which i assumed was going to be around $25-30, but it was $40, and i thought oh well i bet it just b/c it is name brand, but it wasnt, it was the generic brand and that seemed a little high to me... is that an average price now??

i'm secretly suffering bulimia..
i hinted it to my mom but she just shook it off like it was a joke!
i was like..
i couldn't say no more i was so shocked that she didn't seem to worry like she used to!
she just forces me to eat and lectures me about EDs and stuff and how shes going to call the doctor for serious appointments

it gets me so p.offed :(
and my dad is always on buisness trips for MONTHS
he's coming home this week finally :)
should i tell him about this?
i don't throw up EVERYTHING..
i just probably throw up part or half of the meals..
its not THAT bad
but i still have bulimia probably
because i have been doing this for 1 and a HALF months

I am 14, 5' 9" i weigh 153 lbs. I am a middle distance runner for my school track team ( I usually run about 30 minutes a day). HOW MANY CALORIES SHOULD I BE EATING TO LOSE ABOUT TWO POUNDS IN AROUND 2 OR 3 WEEKS??? I Have about 2/3 in. of baby fat left and i want to get rid of it And do not put any 1200 calorie diets on here cause only an idiot would eat only 1200 calories.

Do you know anything about eaitng 5 small meals daily? Any benfits?

My boyfriend has a child..he claims he was raped by the mother. He was drunk and said she took advantage of him, and she happened to get pregnant. He claims he was so drunk he doesn't remember it, and woke up when he was having an orgasm...but i didn't think it was physically possible for a man to get hard and have an orgasm when he is that drunk where he doesn't know what is going on. SO my question is...Is it possible for him to be SO drunk to get this woman pregnant, all while he was intoxicated and had no clue as to what was going on? I have had this boil for a while now...I went to the doctor and she said in fact it was a boil. She gave me an antibiotic to treat the boil, the boil seemed to be going away, but I did not take the antibiotic like I was supposed to. (Every 12 hours)

So I called the doctor back and she called in the antibiotic again, this time I took the meds like I was supposed to. I have been done taking the meds for about 2 or 3 days now, and it is starting to hurt again. I think the boil is either coming back or never went away, I think the meds only calm the boil down while taking them. I have even tried to use a salve to bring the boil to a head....this is very frusterating...

I dunno what to do??? Please Help???

I am having pain, numbness, and tingling of my fingers but doc says it is not the nerve involved with carpal tunnel. It is affecting my pinkie and ring finger and most of my palm. He explained it's the other nerve that runs to my hand that is affected. This is affecting my grip,sleep and most important my driving. I finally have an appointment with a nerorologist next week but this has been going on since October. Does anyone know the name of the nerve or any possible treatments?
