Generally, the more you drink, the more "clear" (or lighter) it is. If you do not drink enough water, it is usually darker. In general, men should be drinking more water than women (although both sexes should drink a fair amount of water every day). The more exercise etc you do, you should be drinking even more water everyday.

The hydration dehydration answer is partly correct but the purpose of urination is not just the elimination of fluid but also of poisons and toxins in your body. When you drink lots of fluid and urinate often your body does not have time to break down the chemicals in your liver so you piss clear the longer you go without urinating the more time your body has to do its job.If your boyfriend is drinking a sufficient amount of water to stay hydrated but spacing it out throughout the day then his body is absorbing most of the water he drinks and he is perfectly normal.

in my case, it depends, sometimes yellow when i drink too much alcohol or colored softdrinks, sometimes clear if i take only water.
Pee is not suppose to be clear, sometimes (not always) the food and drink we take affects the color of our pee.

Pee color can be affected by vitamins taken, dehydration or certain diets all of which make it more yellow.

clear pee means your hydrated, the yellower your pee the more dehydrated you are. ever notice on a night of binge drinking your pissing clear the whole night and the next morning your pissing amber. goes with the whole hydrated/ dehydrated theme.

Vitamin C will cause it. The yellow is often caused by a cleansing of salts and impurities.
