It could possibly be that your posture is leaning more to one side or that you have flat foot so you walk kind of unevenly and lean more to one side. Its not a big deal though unless its beginning to hurt your back.

Because you may be overpronating or underpronating when you walk. If you have flat feet and low arches, you probably overpronate and your shoes will wear more on the inside part of the heels. If you have high arches you probably underpronate and wear out your shoes on the outside part. For more explanation go to www.runnersworld.com and look up the test to see if you are flat footed.

Each foot is an entity unto itself - in other words, each foot works differently, and you tend to favor one more than the other. Watch yourself next time you walk, one foot usually leads the other, steps up first, behaves differently than the other. The way you stand, if you lean on one foot or to one side more - all will affect your feet. Both sides of the body are different - if you look at your hands, your face, each side is different.
