Don't fear! When I had mine taken off, the only sign that I had them for years was straight teeth! You'll be so delighted by the feeling of having them gone, nothing else will matter! (And having them removed doesn't hurt, either.) Good luck!

I had braces a few years ago and had the same fear as you do. I thought that those small spots would all be different colors on my teeth. It turns out that was not the case at all and my teeth were the same color. The only problem I had was that on one of my front bottom teeth I had a small cavity, probably from plaque getting stuck there. It wasn't a big deal though. I'm sure you'll be fine, I've known a lot of people with braces and none of them had any problems.

Good luck!

that is not a answer that can be gave to you straight. when i had my braces removed i had spots where my brackets were for a while and only after alot of cleanings and a couple years did they actually go away but my bottom didnt do it just my top. They were not spots that were noticable from a distance just if you really really looked. I brushed everyday like i was supposed to but i did eat alot of candy and junk food!

Oh no worries- they will look fine. I had the braces around my teeth (a million years ago) and the only problem I had was on the back of a tooth.
Everyone I know comes out with GEORGEOUS teeth following braces.
Relax.. you have waited a long tome for this.

I really dont think it will be a problem. I had braces years ago and my teeth were fine when they came off. It takes a bit of getting used to having smooth teeth with no wires on them, but other than that I dont think you will have a problem

Its been a few years since i've gotten mine off, but here's what I remember: -It doesn't hurt at all. Its kind of a relief actually. -Your teeth will feel all slimy. I kept running my tongue over them. -Only takes about 20-30 mins -Try and ge the metal retainers. I loved mine. My friends had the clear ones and kept having to get them replaced. -If you can, try and get the metal retainer that's glued onto the back of your bottom teeth. You hardly notice its there and nobody can see it =). -Your orthodontist should know best about types of retainers and such. Good Luck!

Don't worry about a thing, just think about how great your teeth are going to look and feel after the braces are off. You will not have any discoloration, you and your teeth are going to be just fine.

They should be fine. The thing that freaked me out the most when I got my braces off was that my teeth seemed HUGE. lol! They weren't, really, but it had just been so long since I had seen my teeth whole.

Well I took my braces off about 8 months ago and that didn't happen.

Plus there's these people that freaked me out saying I could get cavities, I'll get spots on my teeth, blah blah blah.

I ate candy, hard foods, chewed gum, all the bad stuff. My teeth turned out to be perfectly fine.

The problem is it all depends on your gene's. All the people I know who had braces turned out to have cavities and spots on their teeth, some didn't. It's all about GENE'S!

this should be a happy day for you. As long as you brushed your teeth a couple times a day and took care of yourself, I don't see where there could be a problem.
Possible...yah I am sure that it probably is. I just don't know what extent of neglect that would take. i am sure that it will be fine
