I'm 14 and have been builmic since i was 12. Here's the thing your life sounds EXACTLY like mine. i would first start by telling a friend your own age. (they seem to be the best)
I know people are gonna rip on me for saying this but i wouldn't go to your school counsler. Mine found out and it's been hell since. So I would start with a friend, then a relative that isn't a parent, then a brother or sister, then work your way up to your parents. I hope this helps :)

Bulimia isn't just binging and purging there's a lot more to eating disorders. It's having an unhealthy relationship with food, whether that be overeating, purging what you eat, restricting, starving. Bulimics don't necessarily have to binge to purge. You may have EDNOS which is Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified. I've been struggling with an ED for over 3 years now and it's not something anyone should ever get involved with. It's not glamorous or pleasant and you'll never be happy with it. You should go see a psychologist. I know some people can't because of certain reasons but I know that where I live there's a place called Headspace where 12-25 year olds can receive help. It's free because it runs through our health plan. I hope this helped sweetie. Stay strong <3

Do tell your dad, and don't mention anything about how your mom responded. The next time you tell your mother, pull her aside and tell her that it's serious. Lectures do very little good, as they're just verbal punishment, nothing serious or anything. Don't blow your mom off when she says that she's going to schedule doctor appointments, either. Next time, tell her that you do want to go, and you do want help with it.
Bulimia is a serious disease, as I'm sure that you know. Several of my friends did what you did... they didn't like the way that their parents were treating the issue, and they knew that it was hurting them. However, they stuck together, and they told us about it. We acted like a net- whenever they would go to the bathroom, we would go with them. Friends are the best defense against anything that's ailing you.
I do not know of any sites as of yet that help with bulimia, but I do know there are some out there. I will update this when I find it.
Talk to any one that you are comfortable with about your problem. Someone's bound to notice it, and they should help you out if they are really a good friend. I know that it's hard times that you are going through, but they should be over soon. A doctors visit or two are better than living with the feeling of guilt that you ate something.
I really hope that you feel better soon.

As hard as it may be, I think you should come out and tell your mom that you have bulimia. Obviously, bulimia is caused by problems in your life (ex. family), so you should probably go to a psychologist to help you. If you can't directly tell your mom, maybe you should tell a friend and the friend's mom will tell your mom. But I'm sure your mom would want it to come from you. Once you are in treatment, it is hard, but everything gets much better. You just have to get over this one hill and then you're on you way to recovery. So tell your Mom. Good luck and I hope you get better!

I would suggest going to a school counselor. You could tell them anything and maybe they could set up a consultation with your parents. Then maybe your parents would come to realize that this is in fact a serious situation. Your parents only want the best for you (I would hope). The best thing would be going into a rehab and you could get the therapy there.

I know you didn't want me to lecture you...
But I'll just put in a little something.
You're 12. When, I was twelve, I was definitely short and chubby. But, you grow into it. I'm 5'8" now and I'm a size small. This all came naturally. This is going to sound strange, and please note that I'm totally against eating disorders. But don't even consider that until you've grown into your body.
**Also, I did have an episode of annorexia...so, I do know what you're going through.

I am not going to lecture you.
You have an illness. You'd go to a doctor for appendicitis, a broken leg, cancer or a concussion right? Then you should go for this.
This is very serious. You can't self-treat it online, anymore than you could self-treat appendicitis. You need medical attention. A doctor needs to see what damage you may have done to yourself already.
Yes, you're very young. I'd like you to live to be lots older. So would your parents, I'm sure. Sit down with your mother and ASK for medical help with this.

Can you talk to your counselor at school? Bulimia is a form of depression. I suffered from it in my early 20s. It makes you feel in control with your self image. It had very poor self esteem and felt overweigt all the time. I did this and ended up in the hospital. It is a disease and can be treated so try to talk to your parents or counselor. You really need help. You are robbing your body of nutrients when you do this. You could seriously become ill.

I would suggest that you call a hotline or talk to someone you can confide in. Next time you start to throw up or think about not eating then sit there and really think about what you are doing to your body. Try to talk to someone who you know you can trust. This week sit your parents down and tell them what is happening to you. Assure them that you know you have a problem, and that you do want help.

Check out this website http://www.teenadviceonline.org/gethelp/numbers.html
It's a hotline for bulimics. I know you don't want to be lectured but it is important for you to stop this kind of behavior immediately. Let your mom know, for real this time. Don't just hint about it. Eating disorders are about families too not just about weight issues. So talk to your family.
