Had a friend with the same problem. Went to the doctor and was prescribed medication. After that didn't work, he went back to the doctor and he basically used a large syringe filled with water and literally squirt it out using water pressure. All of the wax came out immediately and it didn't hurt one bit. Just a little tingling sensation.

I had earwax really bad and I used the earwax softener. I didn't quite understand how it was going to then come out by itself. I used the syringe thingy. But I could still feel the wax moving around in my ear. It was an awful feeling. Finally I took a hairpin (I know, I know, I could have punctured my eardrum. But I was desperate!) and scraped it out. It worked.

get something from walgreens or somewhere & use q-tips every day. dont stick them in too far though bcuz i did that once & my ear started bleeding a little bit. yuck. try to wash out your ears in the shower. if your ears arent clean after doing all this for a while than its time to talk to the doc

You can try debrox solution at home. http://www.debrox.com/
If this does not work, you should see your doctor. He/She may need to irrigate your ear and use a curette to remove the wax. Avoid using a q tip. It may just serve to pack in the wax that is there.

there are a few different ways...i work in aged care and we use waxol (spelling) its an ear drop you put in and it basically breaks down the wax and it will come out itself... your pharmacy will have something along those lines...hope that helps.
