I was a Dental Assistance for 10 years.
Ibuprofen and/or Advil will help the swelling go down, it is an anti-inflammatory. You need to ice 15 minutes on and 15 off.
If you wisdom teeth were impacted (in your jaw bone) it will take longer to heal.
Do not use a straw for drinking anything. You will pull the blood-clot out of the socket and healing will then take longer.
Warm salt water rinses with gentle swishing is good. But do not spit hard, let the salt water run out of your mouth.
Hope you feel better.
Please Note: Do not Use ASPIRIN. Aspirin is a blood thinner.

First of all, get an ice pack and fill it with ice, but wrap it in a towl before applying it to your face.
Secondly, if in pain, take what was prescribed for you.
Thirdly call the person who did the surgery. Your face shouldn't still be as swollen as that. I know mine wasn't and I had all four of mine out at the same time. Best to check into it and make sure everything is up to par. If the surgeon didn't prescibe anything for pain and you're having discomfort ask him/her for something.

Ice Packs. Continual ice packs. I'd also suggest taking some ibuprofen to help bring down the swelling also. I hope this works for you.

I would say put Ice on it, not Ice Directly but an ice pack inside a wash cloth or something and then put the cloth on face, good luck and hang in there, it will get better!

Aspirin will help some. An ice pack might be useful also.
