Do you think of depression as a mental illness? Or do you think that people with this problem should just wake up to themselves?
I am interested in your opinion.

My wonderful brother in law was diagnosed with cancer only 10 weeks ago, and has a very short time left. I want to get him the perfect combined brithday and christmas gift. His health is flailing, but I want to get him something memorable rather that just another present. He has bowel cancer and cannot eat well, so a night out is out of the question. I thought a hot air balloon ride, but my sister says he would not be well enough to do that. Does anyone have any ideas?????

I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 6 years ago. I'm now 26. Since being a teen my skin has given me issues, but I honestly didn't expect it to go on THIS long. Most people I know haven't had to deal with frequent breakouts past the age of 18. I've been to a dermatologist, who's put me on some medication (not Accutane), but it hasn't helped much. My blood sugar levels are under good control, but I can't help but wonder if my skin troubles are somehow connected to being diabetic. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? If so, have you been able to control it, and if yes, what did you do? I'm getting desperate enough that I'm tempted to go on Accutane, though am nervous about it, seeing as it's so hard on the liver. Anyone's advice is appreciated! Cheers!

I'm sure things have improved and changed drastically, If you are getting a filling do you still get the needle in your mouth? What's new do they still use drills etc. (big chicken!)

Ever since i have gotten my appendix taken out 4 weeks ago, i have been feeling sick. Im nauseous, vomiting, cant hold most my food down, diarrhea a lot, stomach cramping all the time, and when i wipe my butt after pooping, there's blood. So i went back to my surgeon who did my surgery and asked him about it, and he told me he didnt have answers for everything. So i went to another doctor at another hospital and they admitted me to the hospital for a whole nite and day and sent me home sayin that all they could find was a bladder infection. So i took my antibiotic and finished the whole thing, and im still feeling the same way. So, i went to another doctor at another hospital, and they did a pelvic exam and couldnt find anything. Im running out of options, and i dont know who to turn to anymore because everytime i see a doctor they tell me they couldnt find anything. Its been almost a month and im still like this and i dont know what to do anymore. Does anyone have any advice?

My daughter has a stomach bug (I know it's that because I;ve got it too!), and is quite upset by it - she's never had the trots before! I know I have to keep her hydrated, but are there any over the counter or herbal remedies to help to stop the diarrhoea for her. I'm fine - just keep taking the imodium and I'm sorted but for her, there seems to be nothing! My 11 year old son has (luckily) never had diarrhoea and so I've never had to deal with it before - any helpful advice would be appreciated - Thanks

Ok i know this sounds odd, but can anyone tell me? Its on the skin towards the back half of it, and well ive had pimples on pretty much every other part of my body, but is this normal? Odds of it being an std are like 0.001%.

i was a normal male at one point then one night i was layin in bed and my heart started to beat fast. then i got up went outside and got all worked up over a heart beat. then from that day forward i would always have a fear of dying. i aways think about having a heart attack or all of a sudden quit breathing. it's really messing up my life right now, i'm always in a bad mood, or get mad easy. i was never like that until that night when my heart started to race. i dont know how to get the fear out of my mind. ive tryed Anxeity dvd's and all that but nothing seems to be working. i use to enjoy life but now i dont, i always have this fear of dying, i'm only 18 years old and i shouldint be worried about health problems at my age like this. so if someone has delt with this problem before or knows what to do. please tell. thanks

Bleeding has already stopped but everytime I wake up, I see blood in my first spit in the morning. Aside from that I am seeing chunks of blood whenever I gargle. I see no blood in my saliva during the day but just the same, when I wake up, there is blood again. My dentist told me that I probably bump my wound with my upper tooth. I don't feel pain so she said it's nothing to worry about. I am concerned, however, that it might not heal anymore. I was hoping I get more explanation from here...

Ever since someone i know has been on BC shes been more moody is this normal? cause of the hormone changes?

Also:
say if you have your period at the end of your pack of bc (end of january).

forget to buy a new pack for about a week or two and start it then.
is it normal that it wont come exactly at the same time (end of month) but possibly later then the end of "febuary" (which is over a month since the last period)?

i recon thewy shouldnt be, its the parents fault for feeding them to there children, ohh nd remember that most kids aint fat, so y take the comercials off. i also recon that they should stop worrying about the fat kids nd start to worry about the skinny ones which i recon is more dangerous.
