There is a theory that dioxins could cause cervical cancer and potentially endometriosis. Dioxins are used in bleaches, which are commonly used in tampons. It is generally recommended to use pads over tampons if you have a history of cervical cancer, and perhaps the same could be said about endometriosis. I don't believe that there are any real ways of preventing getting endometriosis. I am unsure whether there is a hereditary factor.

Not sure if it is hereditary but do know that if you have had children then you are less likely to develop it - or not have it as severe.

If you get any symptoms e.g. pains you should get them checked out ASAP so that if it is endometriosis you can get it treated early.

I suffer from this and it is extremely painful. I get cramps one week before my period even starts and cramps during my period and up to 3 days after. When my period is approaching, it is also extremely painful to have sex. Although, the pill works diff on each patient. Some women with endo. will start taking the pill and they wont have anymore pain, where in my case, the pill actually made my pain worse. So I now refuse to take the pill. When and if it is confirmed that you have endo. A good treatment to help with the pain is going for a d&c. If you strongly believe you have this, make sure you see your doctor and get the appropriate tests done. And it is hereditary, so if your mom had it or your granma, chances are this is what you are suffering from.

Yes it has been shown to run in families, but there is no way to prevent from getting it. If there was I would have done it. I have been dealing w/ this illness going on 6 years now. But the good news is some people don't even know if they have it. I hope this helps.

You really need to read "Endometriosis Bible & Violet Protocol" by Zoe Brown (also available in electronic format here: http://www.endometriosisbible.info ). It's about how to eradicate endometriosis disease forever. It worked for me, you will see results in only a matter of weeks. Good Luck!

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.
