I'm on a medication that makes my birth control pill obsolete, but does that mean that the Plan B won't work? or can I just take a higher dose of my B/C and the Plan B?

Oh My. You should talk to someone about the interaction between your medicine and the pill if you don't want to become pregnant. I would not be trying to get information here. But that said, increasing a birth control pill dosage doesn't help you not get pregnant. Not having sex is a great plan B while you're on that other med (antibiotic, maybe??). Otherwise - get some condoms!

If your birth control pills won't work then Plan B also won't work, as Plan B is just a high does of the hormones in BC pills. No, do not increase the dose of BC, you will just want to use something else until you finish the medication (if ever). Did you make sure that the birth control is in fact affected by the medication? Your doctor can give you some options of BC to use with the new medication. You may also want to consider using a different medication that doesn't counteract the BC pills.
