i recon thewy shouldnt be, its the parents fault for feeding them to there children, ohh nd remember that most kids aint fat, so y take the comercials off. i also recon that they should stop worrying about the fat kids nd start to worry about the skinny ones which i recon is more dangerous.

I think they should ban children from watching TV and give parents fines for each infraction. That would end the debate about what should and what should not be allowed on TV.

I think it is a great idea to ban junk food commercials from children's TV programs!
Of course this will never happen for it is easier to give a kid who is throwing a tantrum what ever the kid wants then to say "no" to the kid.
Here in America we are the unhealthiest people, skinny or fat. Mr. had told me that when some country had a disaster we offered them food, but they declined saying our food has so many chemicals etc. it would kill there people.....Same food we feed our kids....
We have three kids, and going out to eat is a special thing to do. I also cook all our meals.

I don't care if you can't be bothered spelling properly, that is absolutely terrible!!! By the way there are an awful lot of children that are overweight and the number is growing. More kids are overweight than underweight. I think that junk food commercial should be banned, in fact I think that junk food should all be taken off the market and we should only be able to buy good wholesome food. It would do a lot of good for our society.

No need to ban the ads. Just scare your children away from junk food. I don't mean popping out of a McDonald's bag and saying boo. Tell them that it's fattening and heart disease, etc. Also remember that you are under no obligation to tell your children the truth. "That double cheeseburger, son, could kill you. Once you eat it, the cheese stops you breathing, the meat turns into maggots that at you from the inside and the accursed cucumber in the middle, why that thing curses you with eating brussel sprouts until you die." Get my drift?

As you said, it would ultimately be the parents' fault were they to provide it; as for skinny kids deserving more concern than the fat ones.. well, that's another story.
Go find some statistics on the effects of obesity in America.. you'll start to respect the skinny kids

No, I don't think they should ban commercials.
It's more like the parents fault!
Parents should NOT allow their children to control them!
They have the authority to say, NO! And if the child cries, too bad!
Besides that, they could go play instead of watching tv all the time!

I recon it's a step in the right direction. But how can an out-of-control fat parent stop their kids from being the same..Monkey see, monkey do.

I think that's not such a bad idea, but it will never happen. Companies have to be able to target everyone - except cigarettes and alcohol. Parents need to get better at taking responsibility for things like health and welfare and passing along good information to their kids.
