Where can I find an article talking about morning showers and how its bad to go outside directly after taking a hot shower b/c your pores are open. I know a lot about it already but I need to have a website to quote. I'm hoping to find a health article rather than something from a message board....thats all i can find so far.

My husband went to the dentist today to have a root canal. After she got in there she said it was just a very very bad cavity so she filled it and capped it. He was in there approx 2 hours. After he got out he said he was very very cold. His appointment was at 1pm, its now 6pm and he has 103 degree fever and chills and is very very achy. I called the dentist and the secretary said its just a coinsidence and he has the flu, but ive heard of people getting sick and dying after dental work. Immediately after? or does it take awhile? I dont know if i should take him to the emergency room or not. Please help.

Now that I'm pretty sure I have TMJ in my right jaw.. which has been the cause of a persistant pain for about 2 or 3 years now (I'm just 18). I have a question. My facial features are pretty asymettric. My bite is uneven which I think causes my entire jaw to be sort of lopsided. I blame this on bad posture from using a computer every day for hours on end. I also had braces, though. And even they didn't make my bite even. So I'm wondering, does TMJ get caused by bad posture or some genetic defect? It would be nice to correct my bite and get rid of the pain.

My diet is overall normal. If anything, I don't eat very much. However, since the birth of my second son I feel completely drained all of the time. I could sleep for 12 hours straight, if no one bothered me, and much of the day I am still exhausted. What could help with this? I've considered a meatless diet, but would that really help? Before I loved to exercise, was full of energy; now I just feel like a lazy person. With the exception of playing with my children and doing basic cleaning, I do have no other stimulation because I know no one in this state and don't have the cash to put the kids in daycare. All of my family are 2 1/2 hours drive from here. Any informed suggestions are very much appreciated.

Hi there. This is a completely serious question. This has never happened to me before, but I think I'm constipated. I tried to relieve myself, and it was very stressful and didn't work. It's painful to stress those rectal muscles by trying to relieve myself. It really scared me, and I'm not sure what to do. (We have no laxatives in the house.)
What can I do to fix it, right now?

When I woke up I was in this nervous state of shock. I was almost in despair. Kept repeating to myself that it wasn't real and there was nothing wrong with me, I couldn't control the dream. I felt restless for the first few hours of the day. Glad the person in my dreams wasn't home at the time. It would have been weird to deal with that.

Both me and my best Friend are suffering from depression, she has it worst than I do. She has tried so many times to kill herself but never succeeded (Thank god!) Where in I, I have only thought of the idea of death but have not yet tried to commit suicide. I know we both need help, I want to help her through this but I’m not sure if I can really help her when I need help myself. What do I do?

For 3 years I've skipped lunch each day, which makes my day about 7 hours without eating anything from the moment I get up. Recently I've began to eat yogurt in the morning, but I still don't eat lunch. So I need some help. I need a food for lunch that will fill me up, is portable and does not require refrigeration or heating, is cheap and can be bought in bulk, and is healthy.

Does anyone have any good ideas? I have to change my eating habits or I will severely hurt my metabolism.

How can we make curing cancer a global priority?
When I was ten years old, my younger brother Jeff died of leukemia.

Cancer kills 7 million people worldwide each year. Yet it is a treatable disease that—in time—is beatable. However, in today’s troubled global environment, valuable resources that would otherwise go to cancer research are frequently re-directed by the crisis du jour.

What can we, as individuals and as a global community, do to focus & mobilize our governments to find the cures that will make cancer a fear of the past?
