Its very common for young women to get yeast infections. You should ask mom if she would set-up an appointment (depending on your age) and then kind of put together your questions you want to ask the doctor, so you don't forget when you get there. They have some great meds. now and it will relieve that right away. Don't let something like that go, because something that is nothing now can turn into something if neglected. No biggie, just know its part of growing up and you may never get another, but if you do, you'll be able to take care of it no prob.

women are prone to yeast infection ( that includes young women) trust me your mom will understand and she will know what to do.She also understands your feelings of embarrassment. you can buy over the counter however they aren't always 100% effective. seeing a doctor is best.
if you have been sexually active don't just assume you have a yeast infection though because there are alot of STD's out there.
1 in every 4 teens have an STD according to statistics. many times they don't have a clue they have one. so someone could give you an STD without meaning to because they didn't know they had one. ALWAYS USE A CONDOM ! to protect yourself and your partner.
talk to your mom and tell her you think you might have a yeast infection. if you suspect it might be an STD and feel you can't talk to mom you can always go to your local Health Department hich by the way will provide the condoms and treatment for yeast infection or an STD. GOOD LUCK !

I have very sensitive skin and cannot take bubble baths without getting some sort of infection- you could explain to your mom your symptoms and tell her what you think caused it, but you can also get over the counter treatments in a drug store- try a monistat cream- and don't be overwhelmed by the applicators- If you have never used a tampon, they can be scary- I have just put some cream on a wash cloth and sort of 'wiped' it in and it cleared it up within a few days...
They say though for your first time (if youve never had a YI before, go to the Dr. to make sure that is what it really is)

First of all, I don't think that there is any reason to be embarassed about having a yeast infection or telling your Mom. They happen and are natural. Next, while there are suppositories and creams to treat it, there is also a pill called Diflucan that cures it without all the mess. I'm not sure if it is still by prescription only, but it is quite effective.

Go to your doctor it can a yeast infection be caused by a poor diet using bubble baths or other bath products. I used to get them all the time and you may have something other than that. The symptoms are a cottage cheese type white discharge that smells like baking break and also it itches a lot.

well, in my opinion you should tell your mom, because there are a number of things it could be, but if your sure it's a yeast infection and you don't want to go to the doctor or tell your mom, just eat a lot of yogurt. believe it or not, that will help. go to google.com and type in: "home treatments for a yeast infection" it will give you a whole list of treatments at home, instead of having to go out and buy some sort of cream or medicine.

just tell her straight up. you can get a yeast infection for any reason, nothing to be afraid of. I would hope that your mom would know that. You can get em from a change in detergent, the foods you eat, from taking antibiotics etc...
the Dr can give you a pill, take it once and the infection is gone.. I love that thing! lol
they also have over the counter creams that you can get, they work in 3 or 7 days.

I don't know how old you are, but if you think your mom will think your having sex most yeast infections are not cause from that. But I would definitely have her take you to a Dr. and not try any remedy's there suggesting for you to do.If it's not a yeast infection your decisions you make today can effect you for the rest of your life and the life of your unborn children.Like you can get std from using tampons.Pelvic infections can cause you to never be able to have children.Chlamydia if you have it and become pregnant and deliver your child could become blind. So I would rather be embarrassed now then later or try to explain something worse.

Don't be embarrassed, and I would advise you see a doctor. It happeneds to so many girls form all ages. There are so many ways to get one. The doctor will give you a quick fix.. I've had one and I inserted what looked like a tampon in me. then injected medicated cream into me from the applicator. It was gone in like 3 days.
the only thing that does kinda bite is that the doctor will have to look down there to check.
Anyways hope this helps
