I am not aware of mustard being capable of lowering one's blood sugar & would not recommend it It is listed in the free food list. A free food is any food that contains less than 20 calories or less than or equal to 5 grams of carbohydrates per serving and can be eaten in unlimited amounts. I cannot imagine wanting to eat mustard other than on a sandwich though.

I have not heard that claim yet. Only thing I can think of is if you replace ketchup with mustard then you forgo all that high fructose corn syrup they put in ketchup. i am a type 1 diabetic and use organic ketchup at home to avoid HFCS. That stuff should be outlawed.
