When i have my period its usauly a pretty normal flow and i can go with a normal sized tampond for a long time. But when i got my period this time i went to school with one and i ended up going onto a very very eavy flow wich is very unusual...i thought ok maby its just one day, but is ben a second day and its still very very heavy....also you know when we kinda have that thick substance that comes out everynow and then..i have ben getting ALOT of that so much that it dosent seem normal....this flow is so unusual ..im 17 so its not that i dont know whats going on ..... this has never happend befor....

Please help me with this if u can. Someone once told me that if u tie a thread around ur big toe the menses will not come untill u untie the thread. I've tried this twice and it works. I want to know HOW this works and what exactly must've happened to stop the menses. THANKS in advance.

I was diagnosed with an intestinal tract infection 3 weeks ago and given antibiotics for 5 days to clear it up. Before taking the antibiotics my infection caused diarrhea 10-20x per day for 21 days and vomitting.

Everything is cleared up now except for one small problem. I am overcome with an intense, short-lived nausea 1-2 times daily. It is the worst nausea I have ever experienced and my mouth becomes to salivate uncontrollably. I am a college student and I have had to run out of the classroom/lecture several times now, which can be a little embarrassing.

The strangest thing is that I always run to the bathroom and sit next to the toilet and hope that SOMETHING will come out, but nothing ever does...except for ALOT of saliva...and I gag the entire time. I have tried to identify whether it is associated with the time that I eat. I've noticed that it only happens anywhere from 20 minutes to 3 hours following eating.

Ever heard of this before? Any advice?

I took one of those First Response test that are suppose to tell you youre response 4 days before your missed period. My test came up negative. Do you think the coast is clear or should I wait a day & test again.

Today I am 190 over 60,(last week 180/60) I think it is kind of high, but where I work they keep calling me to fix things. Can not afford to lose my job, but at every given moment I can almost feel that my blood pressure is rising. Called my superiors tonight to let them know, and they reassured me that it was ok to skip a couple of days, but my responsibilities!. If someting goes wrong at the workplace am I responsible or indespensible?

I asked a question regarding persistant headaches an hour ago and all of the answers were very helpful but I should have mentioned more info. I have also had a seizure once in my life and suffered a strong blow to the head almost a year ago I wanted to mention as well that these headaches can come nearly every single day and can last all day long. I would like to have a CT scan or even just an X-ray for piece of mind but I can't find a competent doctor. Like they all think I'm just imagining the headaches it's unbelievable. Any suggestions and where and how I can go about getting proper medical treatment?

Since having my second child 18 months ago, I have been having the depo injection. It has stopped my periods, which is the good thing, but I have no sex drive anymore. We have had sex about 5 times in the last 18 months. We don't even talk about it anymore. Does anybody else have the same side effect as me? The doctor says I can only stay on it for a maximum of 2 years as it starts to thin your blood, then you have to come off it for 1 year before going back to it. Maybe that may bring our sex life back....

I keep having this nightmare that I literally lose my head but I stay alive. Then the doctor puts it back and my neck is full of stitches (very Frankestein like) I obviously feel very self-consciosus and I don't want to go out or go to work. My husband gets mad and tells me that I have to move on, be responsible and go to work.
NOTE: I am a receptionist in a laser clinic. The only doctor in charge is a dermatologist-plastic surgeon and she is super wacko and narcissist. I hate my job and the doctor.

on friday i had the 1st part of a root canal done in a tooth that has a permanent crown on it. the doctor told me i would probably be sore for 2-3 days, but the pain should decrease and not be as bad as before the procedure. on friday and sat i felt horrible and my whole jaw was sore, i presume from the shots and holding my mouth open for 1 1/2 hrs. on sunday i felt better and about noon i suddenly got this pain in my tooth that i can only explain by saying it felt like an electric shock. it lasted only a second, but hurt like hell and made my mouth salivate a lot. afterwards my entire jaw hurt so much i had to take a pain pill. today, its monday and i have noticed my jaw hurts and the tooth hurts just like before the procedure. i go back Dec 11th to have the 2nd part done. is this normal??

READ IT ALL PLZ! (i kno its long im sorry but i felt i had to let my whole story out) about 3 weeks ago i asked a queston about losing 30 pounds in 2 months and ppl said it wus unrealistic so i decided to take it as serious as possible i worked so so hard for about a week and i still saw and felt like sh**!! i kno its not magic but i expected to at least feel a lil bit more confident but instead i felt worse. i got so worked up and pissed off and wus a ***** to everyone and i spent a whole day at home crying my heart out. i just felt like a pig, a slob, and worth less pile of sh** i didnt eat that whole day and then b4 i knew it a week went by and i had barely eaten in that whole week i was too sad to eat and i stepped on the scale and BAM!! 5 pounds were gone! i was shocked i hardly even worked out but i barely ate and when i did eat it wus only a lil fruit thus leading to my question if it really slowes ur metabolism down why did i lose what i couldnt lose when i wus eating?

I have been experiencing more frequent shaking of my hands and legs. And it is always followed by really bad headache, dizziness and sweating specially my hands. They sweat alot. Does anyone know whats going on? And also whevever I walk I start getting this pinching pain in my lower right backside. I know it's not a muscle because it happens on one side and limited area not the whole area. I cant even walk once I the pain starts. Whenever I breathe in it gets worse or when I bend or move a bit it gets worse. What could be the reason for that?

hello ive been on birth control close to a year and ive always gotten my period on the 3rd placebo pill, the other day 5 days before i was supposed to get my period i had some spotting it was a tiny bit only happened once that day. then it happened once the day after also. then it all stopped, im still awaiting my period does anyone know what this means or why its happening? i got like 5 pimples the days before it happened and i never get pimples.

I usually get exercise outside, hiking, running and walking. However, now it is dark out when I get off of work so I am looking for inside workouts w/out a gym. (I don't feel safe outside by myself and I don't have anyone to workout with. Also it is cold and raining and I know myself well enough to know that I will not work out outdoors when it is like that! )Also, I am worried about jumping around a lot b/c I live in an apartment and my downstairs neighboor is very easily irritated by noise. Is there any way I can get a good workout without buying huge machines (my apartment is small) or joining a gym (I don't have a lot of money). Any ideas?

I'm 5'5'' 140 lbs and I have cellulite in my butt and the back of my legs. I'm afraid that when my boyfriend sees me naked for the first time he is going to be disgusted and turned off by it. He is thin and muscular and doesn't know I have it at all. What does everyone else think?
