he best way to permanently resolve period cramps is to take vitamins. There is a supplement called Optivite which has been specially formualted for women with menstrual problems. Optivite is not available in the UK, but can be purchsed from the US via the websites below.

I take two optivite every day and have found the results to be amazing.

Taking a tea made from a combination of Raspberry leaves and Lady's Mantle will help resolve the pain. It will also reduce some of the swelling in the uterus as well.
Take 2 tsp of each of the dried herbs and steep in hot water for 5mins, sweeten with a tsp of honey if required. Take the tea 2-3 times daily during menstration.

Ok, this is a secret given to me by another woman when I was about 15. I remember being horrifeid and embarrassed at the time, but since then I have been inclined to try it, and it does work.

You may not FEEL like it, but the trick is to engage in a little 'solo activity', to put it delicately. The resulting muscle tension at the peak moment then subsides into total relaxation, taking the cramps with it.

Much more fun than exercise, and it really does the job.

Ibuprofen (Advil or Motrin) at a dose of 200 mg 3 tablets 4 times daily plus acetaminophen (Tylenol) at a dose of 325 mg 3 tablets 4 times daily (or 500 mg 2 tablets 4 times daily) is as effective as any prescription medication. With WalMart's new $4 drug program (at least in Texas) a prescription for meloxicam 15 mg 1 daily is less expensive than over the counter products.

i find warmth (hot water bottle or wheat bag, or lilets do a patch), if you can get your man to give you a firm massage on you lower back. there is also a tissue salt by "New Era" which is called "combination N" But i find that making every one look after you makes it all feel alot better. Also penetration is supposed to be good. I am not sure but i assume that DIY with something Phallic would work.

Period Crmps do suck you have my full sympathy x

Drinking hot liquids and doing exercise. It gets the circulation going and it stops the pain. For some reason hot liquids also alleviate the pain.

It sounds really silly, but if you check a pamprin bottle (or any other like it) you will notice that most of them have caffine in them. If I do not have something like that around, I will take a couple of advil and drink a Mtn. Dew. Sounds funny but helps immensely. Also, if you can make yourself exercise, not anything stringent if you are not used to it, it may help.
