The awesome thing about the pill, to my mind, is the regularity it gives to cycles (plus the no-pregnancy thing). But every now and then, the utter regularity will collapse and your period will start early or late, or you'll spot, or something else will go amuck. I suspect this is your body trying to reassert itself against the hormones you are putting in it.

If you're sick, or you have been sick, that can change the absorption of the pill and cause your symptoms... I have particularly seen this with women with yeast infections taking Diflucan or the equivalent. It doesn't mean anything serious is wrong with you... it could just be one of those irritating things.

If you've been having sex, and you don't get your period in a few days, take a pregnancy test. If, next month, this happens again, consult your doctor.

If your spotting and you've been on birth control for a while then i would talk to your doctor cause most of the time when you spot and your on the pill it could mean that you need something that's stronger... I was on the Pill for 2 1/2 years and had to change to 3 or 4 different pills because i would spot and the doctor said that it wasn't strong enough for me... So id that to the doctor...

Spotting while on the pill is normal. So is elimination of the period altogether. The reason it works is because it makes your body think it's already pregnant. So, not getting a period is no cause for concern. If you are concerned, however, you should check with your doctor.

how irregular were you before starting the pill, maybe it's your body trying to regulate itself, just be aware and if your period is weird then go talk to your doc

If people are spotting your vaginal area, you need to pull down the shades.
