Hydrogen peroxide (the normal 3 or 5% concentration available at the drugstore) will whiten your teeth. Rinse with a mouthful for one minute every day, twice a day if you can. Nothing is more inexpensive, and you should start to see results in about a month.

DO NOT USE BLEACH!!
I had mine laser whitened about 3 yrs ago, 5 months ago I started to use "Debrox Ear Wax Removal Aid" for my anteriors for whitening maintanence. It is pepperminty, milder than the Crest Strips, and only $5.00 at wal-mart. The tube lasts for months. You can also use Glyoxide, but it isnt as inexpensive as Debrox. I have no anterior fillings, so use it on natural teeth, not restorations.
Don't use the debrox or any whitening dental gel right AFTER brushing your teeth, it will temporarly turn your gums white and feel like they are on fire. (Don't use it if you have Gum disease or problems as such) I put the Debrox on my teeth before I get into the shower, then when done showering, spit out in the sink and do my normal brushing. Then don't eat anything, or drink anything for 30 minutes. I do this in the morning and at night before bed...sometimes during the afternoon.
People tell me all the time how white my teeth are. And no sensitivity problems with the Debrox.

Do not use bleach it is highly poisonous to humans. There are many tooth whitening alternatives such as teeth whitening toothpaste. If you want a white smile, I suggest you stay away from things like tea.

Don't use regular bleach, for heaven's sake. Buy Crest White Strips or another brand especially for teeth like Rembrandt.

Using regular bleach on your teeth is extremely dangerous.

If you're looking for a whiter smile, try this link:

None of the home solutions will give you the results you can get from your dentist though...

no that type of bleach is chlorine and is poisonous if swallowed. You can use a baking soda and peroxide on a brush or buy a product such as Crest Whitening Strips or other similar brands . Remember do not swallow the peroxide as it is toxic as well.

DON'T USE BLEACH ON YOUR TEETH!!!!! You will really hurt yourself. There are whitening toothpastes you can try. there are whitening strips, though dentists don't recomend them. Yeah just use the whitening toothpaste and try to stay away from things that will stain your teeth...like coffee.

ALYSSA,
IT'S BEST TOO SEE A DENTIST IN ORDER TO DETERMINE WHICH TYPES F STAINS YOU MEAN. SOME STAINS ARE EXTERNAL AND CAN EASILY BE REMOVED, AND OTHERS ARE INTERNAL AND CAN'T BE REMOVED FOR THESE, INTERNAL BLEACHING AFTER A ROOT CANAL MUST BE DONE.
SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE (HOUSEHOLD BLEACH) KILLS TISSUES. NEVER USE THIS FOR ANY STAINS ON/IN YOUR BODY!
