The definetion of a "real man" is completely subjective, meaning that it may change from individual to individual. Your perception of a "real man" might be quite different than what a female expects from you, and this mental disposition on top of the fact that you are EXTREMELY overweight, could actually stop your sex-life all together. Some people get SO fat that, not only is there sex-life gone, but they cant have a relationship people either because they are too fat to leave their house or apartment!
Your definetion of a real man is obviously someone that doesnt watch their diet or workout because that stuff is girly. On the other hand, you may have a woman that believes in the exact opposite. Your problem is your mental standpoint. I assume that you are the guy in the pic, and if you are, you are extremely overweight and out of shape. You cling to your lack of motivation to lose weight by convincing yourself that you are a real man. But again, it doesnt have anything to do with that. Most people go on a diet in order to either reclaim their health, or to maintain it. Your weight is extremely unhealthy, and you need to lose weight. It is deadly, and most women would see you as MORE of a man, if you were able to take your life by the horns and reclaim your health.
But it is completely up to you. If you are comfortable with yourself, stay the way you are, just remember that it is unhealthy, and that it has absolutely NOTHING to do with being a real man.

"Diets" have always struck me as a faddish, hype-driven machine that don't work. If they do work, they do so by controlling the kinds of food that go into you and when. And anyone with willpower can do this on their own.

Now, limiting your food intake, both in regards to the amount of food you eat and the kind of food, is more of a lifestyle change, and that's just good willpower. Nothing more manly than finding what you want and doing what you need to do to get it.

guys do have diets they follow at times but its not that they're ON a diet. they jus watch what they eat not so they don't get fat but so they don't eat unhealthy/junk foods. in the long run it helps u avoid lots of medical issues if you're not obese or having a bad diet

Kinda but not really. I think if you want to lose weight, bariatric surgery is your only option.
