Last night I went to the cinema with a group of friends. My skin started feeling itchy, and I kept scratching throughout the movie. The itching lasted all night. Any ideas what this could be?

my girlfriend has psoriasis all over. Today she was complaining about hurting and burning in the around the vaginal area. As i spread it open to look, it looks like a small patch of psoriasis has gotten on the right lip near the opening. My question, is it possible to get a very small patch patch of psoriasis there, if so, what is the best way to treat it?

I want to know if condoms and spermicides are better for me to use. I've researched this topic until I've turned blue in the face. I really don't want all those hormones put in my body to put me outta wack. Also, please don't comment anything rude 'cause I think I've done a good job at bein' 19 and still a virgin and at least I'm wanting to be protected, ya know?

I have had herpes for 3 years. I am turning 7 months pregnant on monday and wondering if I should start suppressive therapy now or wait until at least 30 weeks..

My midwife gave me the okay to start therapy at 24 weeks but I felt it was too early.

I am having lots of outbreaks lately and just trying to do whats safest for my child.

The reason I am asking this is because I am writing a research paper for college on the topic. I am a Catholic and also conservative (normally against stem cell research) but my mother had cancer when I was younger so of course if she didn't have to go through what she did I should love the idea. I was just wondering other people's opinions as a sort of "poll" type-source, unscholarly of course.

I have been taking SNRI's for several years. They effectively treat my chronic depression and I would be reluctant to do without them. However, they effectively eliminate my sex drive. Has anyone been treated for this problem and how?

my BF has been saying to all his friends and myself since June that he wanted to quit drinking. Well, it's November, and he is a lot better (down to 2-3 times a week/ 3 beers per day tops) but I was really hoping for success sooner. For the sake of his happiness... and also so that I can feel closer to him knowing he's sober like I am now.

Is there anything a supportive GF can do to help him quit? He sort of wants to, but either addiction or depression is holding him back...

They will say, jsut think about the poor people in third world countries, the thing is though, that is irrelevent, becuase that would be saying that money buys happiness

I lived in a third world country for a year after college, and ironically I was never happier in my life than while i WAS there
the people seemed happier and more relaxed on a whole too,,ironically

then i came back home and after a few months I went back into a bad depression

but another thing is there is a misconception thst people in these countries are too strong willed to be depressed, while I was there I met these two old guys,,one an alcoholic who sufferd from depression and where cared for by all the relatives and never looked down on, they took his coindition seriously and were very compassionate towards him, they didn't look at it as a character flaw

just some food for thought about misconceptions on mental ilness

I broke a bone, it is on the side of my hand about a month ago. The doctor decided to put my whole hand in a splint. Today i got the splint taken off, and he showed me an X-Ray and i saw that the bone still has a little crack. It seemed to be in the right place, but i saw a small crack whereas i thought there wasnt going to be one. He said it is in the early stage of healing, and he cant keep me in the splint because otherwise my hand will become immobile. My question is if any of you know what the chances are of my bone healing, what i can do to help it grow faster or for it to properly heal, and finally, what happens if ithe crack doesnt mess together like im guessing its was supposed to( in two weeks) which is when im supposed to go visit him again, will i have to have surgery or what...

I was diagnosed with epilepsy after having one grand mal seizure, there is no family history of seizures, and that was the first one I had ever had. The neurologist prescribed Topamax and I've been on it ever since, I have a hard time remembering to drink a lot, and have had pain in both the left and right groin area as well as blurred vision w/ what feels like pins being stuck in my eyes (that happens occasionally) . After reading the side affects and knowing I only had one seizure, I'm wondering whether I should have been put on the drug at all? Has anyone had a similar experience and successfuly gone off Topamax without going to an alternative medication?
