I took one of those First Response test that are suppose to tell you youre response 4 days before your missed period. My test came up negative. Do you think the coast is clear or should I wait a day & test again.

I'd actually wait until you have missed your period... here's why.
1. The "4 days before your missed period" thing assumes that you have a really precise 28 day cycle, and that you are looking at it at least 10 days post ovulation (dpo). But if you have a shorter cycle, or ovulated late this month, it's worthless... you need to give it at least 10 days past ovulation, and it's more accurate the longer you wait.
2. HCG (the pregnancy hormone) increases quickly in early pregnancy, doubling every two days. But if you are in very early pregnancy, then the levels are still extremely low and possibly undetectable. Giving it another few days will help get HCG levels up to the measurable range.
3. Your period may arrive and then you don't have to spend $10-20 for the privilege of peeing on a stick and staring at it for three minutes.

I would for sure wait and take another one after you've missed your period for sure. B/c the early response ones arn't always accruate it's is something and don't quote me on this but it's like 63% 5 days early and going up after thatr but i'd take another one after you've missed to be sure.

I can tell you from experience-those are horrible. My friend took three of those to be sure and they ALL said NEGATIVE- she was pregnant! The only thing that works-and I have used them- are EPT-error proof tests! Good Luck! And yeah go again.

Always wait a few days more and then take another test to be more positive.

It depends on how late you are! If you are only a couple of days late I would wait and try again because there are all sorts of things that can throw your period off...like stress.

i had the same thing happen to me,i had a negative test. But guess wat, i found out a couple of days later i was pregnate. i think you should wait a couple of more days and try another 1 or go to your doctors
