I know it's bad to sleep on your stomach, but why? I have been sleeping on my stomach almost every night because that's the only way I can fall asleep. Just recently I have tried sleeping on my side...I'll fall asleep sometimes but I won't others.

While clearing brush yesterday I distrurbed what appeared to be a beehive. Needless to say it's inhabitants were unhappy, aggressive even. I was stung repeatedly by what looked like bees, but left no stingers, and I'm pretty sure one of them stung me more than once. I think they were some kind of wasps. Either way I got stung just between and above the eyes leaving my face quite swollen. I tried various home remedies, ice, onion, toothpaste, baking soda and vinegar, but nothing seems to help. My eyes are swollen nearly shut, and I look pretty funny, but other than that I feel fine. Does anyone know how I can bring the swelling down so I can recover my normal vision and go out and enjoy this nice Sunday afternoon?

I have to get a shot at school in a mass injection program. When they do this everyone is lined up and the nurse sits the first person in the chair, rolls up their sleeve and jabs in the needle with everyone else watching. Since they try to get everyone through as quickly as possible, the room is always full, so there are a ton of people watching as you get stuck. I am really scared. I usually have to have someone hold my hand, or else I really freak and shake and cry. I am scared of getting a shot in front of so many other people. Will they laugh at me? What if I cry? I am looking for some honest help to help me relax and make it through this. Please be kind and help me....!!

She seems to have everything that makes a successful life - nice home, no money worries, husband, children, friends, family, job and hobbies but I've noticed she's putting on a "show"! Everyone who knows her says she's adorable, funny, clever, gorgeous etc.The trouble is that she let slip she feels as if she's a waste of space and shouldn't be here. She's always happy and smiling in company but on her own she is tearful, low and can't see the point in tomorrow. I discovered she's been on anti-depressants for nearly 20 years and has been hospitalised for suicide attempts. She tells everyone how happy and lucky she is all the time so why do I get the feeling she is pretending just to keep us at bay? I've asked her if she wants to die and she says "Don't be daft! I just cry a lot!" but I don't believe her. Is it possible for someone to be born a depressive and is there a cure? She seems to be hanging on to life by the skin of her teeth! I'll never forgive myself if she ends her life.

I know this may sound crazy, but I think that loud bass music makes me sick. For example, I was sitting in my friend's car and he had his subwoofer way up. I immediately started feeling my ear start to ache, then the pain moved down my ear to the throat, and within a day I had a very bad cold and could still feel the pain on the same side that the speaker was on. Also, the other day I was at a club and the bass was really loud, and within a few minutes my stomach was so upset that I had to leave.

My friends can't stop making fun of me for saying this, but I really think that it makes me sick somehow. Any reasons for this? I would REALLY love to prove them all wrong! Thanks!

I had an appointment last Tuesday to get the Paraguaud IUD. Well I had a abnormal Pap 3 weeks earlier, differant doctor. My doctor recomended this ob/gyn for iud insertion. I told him about pap so he suggested doing another pap to see if it would be normal now before doing the iud. He pressed so hard on my stomach he left bruises. So now I am worried that if he was that ruff on a pap what would he be like at iud insertion. Ya'll have me scared enough talking about the pain you experianced. I saw what he was going to use before to do the procedure and he did offer me 800mg ibuprofhen but i had already took some before i left the house. And he had some numbing spray to. And I don't really want to have to go have another consult with another doc. and start all over again. The longer i wait the more nervous i get. I am 39, been on the pill since i was 21, have no children and don't want any. Been in 1 relationship for 19 years. Now I have high BP and have to get off the pill but neither me or my husband wants surgery. So this is really my only option. Does anyone have any advice.

I have been snoring loudly and I smoke 2 packs of cigarettes daily. I have quit smoking before. During the times I quit, I swear my snoring was decreased substantially. A friend of mine said smoking has nothing to do with it. I believe the smoking does have alot to do with it. Does anyone know who is correct?

My boyfriend of almost 2 years has what we believe to be rapid-cycling bipolar disorder. I do not know very much about the specific disorder or how to deal with it. He has never been formally diagnosed and refuses to see a doctor or specialist for possible treatment.

I am at my wit's end- I love him very much and very desperately want to help him but I am starting to feel like I am beginning to develop mental health issues of my own as a result of constantly trying to cope with how mean he is and always having to explain or justify myself from his accusations.

We 'fight' almost daily although I would not call it fighting because it is usually him being upset or angry at something he misinterprets and me trying to explain to him that no, I am not cheating on you, lying to you, laughing at you, making fun of you, hating you or saying you are stupid etc.

He makes me cry on a daily basis, but I know things must be much worse for him- I want to help him so much. It is very very hard

completely ignore them or is it better to confront them about their lies and deception? This person "pretended" to be my best friend then abandoned (not literally, but mentally/emotionally etc) me when I needed her most. I want to "stick it" to her.

I had an upper edoscopy with a biopsy. The nurse told me they did the biopsy to make sure whatever it is, is not infected. I was so out of it because they put me under I didn't ask questions. What could they have possibly biopsied and what are they looking for? Has anyone ever had this done to them before? What were the results?
Thanks in advance.
